但我復活以後，要在你們之前往加利利去。」

耶穌對她們說：「不要害怕！你們去告訴我的弟兄，叫他們往加利利去，在那裏會見到我。」

他們一進城，就上了所住的樓房；在那裏有彼得、約翰、雅各、安得烈、腓力、多馬、巴多羅買、馬太、亞勒腓的兒子雅各、激進黨的西門，和雅各的兒子猶大。這些人和幾個婦人，包括耶穌的母親馬利亞，和耶穌的兄弟，都同心合意地恆切禱告。那時，有許多人聚會，約有一百二十名，彼得在弟兄中間站起來，說：「諸位弟兄，聖經的話必須應驗。聖經中，聖靈曾藉大衛的口預先說到那領人來拿耶穌的猶大；他本來算是我們中的一個，並且得了這一份使徒的職任。這人用他不義的代價買了一塊田，以後身子仆倒，肚腹崩裂，腸子都流出來。住在耶路撒冷的人都知道這事，所以按着他們當地的話把那塊田叫亞革大馬，就是「血田」的意思。因為《詩篇》上寫着：「願他的住處變為廢墟，無人在內居住。」又說：「願別人得他的職分。」所以，主耶穌在我們中間出入的整段時間，就是從約翰施洗起，直到主離開我們被接上升的日子為止，必須從那常與我們一起的人中，立一位與我們同作耶穌復活的見證。」

這樣，我們甚至被當作是為神妄作見證的，因為我們見證神是使基督復活了。如果死人真的沒有復活，神就沒有使基督復活了。

耶穌回答他們：「我不是揀選了你們十二個嗎？但你們中間有一個是魔鬼。」
