爾兄弟目中有草芥、爾見之、而己目中有梁木不自覺、何歟、

何察察於兄弟目中之纖芥、而不見自己目中之巨木乎？

“ Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?

“ You look at the bit of sawdust in your friend’s eye. But you pay no attention to the piece of wood in your own eye.

Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?

“ And why worry about a speck in your friend’s eye when you have a log in your own?

Why do you look at the splinter in your brother’s eye but don’t notice the beam of wood in your own eye?

And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted. (niv)

“ Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?How can you say to your brother,‘ Brother, let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when you yourself fail to see the plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye. (niv)

But a prophet of the Lord named Oded was there, and he went out to meet the army when it returned to Samaria. He said to them,“ Because the Lord, the God of your ancestors, was angry with Judah, he gave them into your hand. But you have slaughtered them in a rage that reaches to heaven.And now you intend to make the men and women of Judah and Jerusalem your slaves.
