As evening came, Jesus said to his disciples,“ Let’s cross to the other side of the lake.”

When Jesus saw that they were ready to force him to be their king, he slipped away into the hills by himself.

Early the next morning Jesus went out to an isolated place. The crowds searched everywhere for him, and when they finally found him, they begged him not to leave them.But he replied,“ I must preach the Good News of the Kingdom of God in other towns, too, because that is why I was sent.”

Immediately after this, Jesus insisted that his disciples get back into the boat and cross to the other side of the lake, while he sent the people home.

Jesus got into the boat again and went back to the other side of the lake, where a large crowd gathered around him on the shore.

So he got back into the boat and left them, and he crossed to the other side of the lake.

Large crowds followed Jesus as he came down the mountainside.

Immediately after this, Jesus insisted that his disciples get back into the boat and head across the lake to Bethsaida, while he sent the people home.

Before daybreak the next morning, Jesus got up and went out to an isolated place to pray.Later Simon and the others went out to find him.When they found him, they said,“ Everyone is looking for you.”But Jesus replied,“ We must go on to other towns as well, and I will preach to them, too. That is why I came.”
