耶稣赶出一个使人成为哑巴的鬼，鬼出去了，哑巴就说出话来；众人都很惊讶。

有人带着一个耳聋舌结的人来见耶稣，求他为他按手。耶稣领他离开众人，到一边去，就用指头探他的耳朵，吐唾沫抹他的舌头，望天叹息，对他说：“以法大！”就是说“开了吧！”他的耳朵立刻开了，舌结也解了，他说话也清楚了。耶稣嘱咐他们不要告诉人；但他越嘱咐，他们越发传扬。众人分外惊奇，说：“他所做的事样样都好，他甚至使聋子听见，哑巴说话。”

那时，瘸子必跳跃如鹿，哑巴的舌头必欢呼。在旷野有水喷出，在沙漠有江河涌流。

耶和华对他说：“谁造人的口呢？谁使人口哑、耳聋、目明、眼瞎呢？岂不是我—耶和华吗？现在，去吧，我必赐你口才，指教你应当说的。”

有一大群人到他那里，带着瘸子、盲人、肢残的、聋哑的，和好些别的病人，都放在他脚前，他就治好了他们。于是众人都惊讶，因为看见聋哑的说话，肢残的痊愈，瘸子行走，盲人看见，他们就归荣耀给以色列的神。

你在埃及地显神迹奇事，直到今日在以色列和世人中间也是如此，建立了自己的名声，正如今日一样。

那人就起来，立刻拿着褥子，当着众人面前出去了，以致众人都惊奇，归荣耀给神，说：“我们从来没有见过这样的事！”

神人以利沙听见以色列王撕裂衣服，就派人到王那里，说：“你为什么撕裂衣服呢？让那人到我这里来，他会知道以色列中有先知。”

在犹大，神为人所认识；在以色列，他的名为大。

耶稣听到这些话，就很惊讶，转身对跟随的众人说：“我告诉你们，这么大的信心，就是在以色列，我也没有见过。”
