The seers will be ashamed and the diviners disgraced. They will all cover their faces because there is no answer from God.”

Those who see visions will be put to shame. Those who try to figure out what is going to happen will be dishonored. All of them will cover their faces. I will not answer them.”

那日，凡作先知说预言的必因所论的异象羞愧，不再穿毛皮外袍哄骗人。

我使虚谎的预兆失效，愚弄占卜的人，使智慧人退后，使他的知识变为愚拙；

“患有麻风灾病的人，他的衣服要撕裂，也要蓬头散发，遮住上唇，喊着说：‘不洁净！不洁净！’

扫罗求问耶和华，耶和华却不藉梦，或乌陵，或先知回答他。

那时，你们要照我所做的去做。你们不可捂着胡须，也不可吃一般人的食物。

“看哪，日子将到，我必命饥荒降在地上；人饥饿非因无饼，干渴非因无水，而是因不听耶和华的话。”这是主耶和华说的。

尽管使用从幼年就施行的魔符和众多的邪术吧！或许有些帮助，或许可以致胜。你筹划太多，以致疲倦。让那些观天象，看星宿，在初一说预言的都起来，救你脱离所要临到你的事！看哪，他们要像碎秸被火焚烧，无法救自己脱离火焰的魔掌；没有炭火可以取暖，你也不能坐在火旁。

只可叹息，不可出声，不可办理丧事；裹上头巾，脚上穿鞋，不可捂着胡须，也不可吃一般人的食物。”

扫罗求问神说：“我可以下去追赶非利士人吗？你把他们交在以色列人手里吗？”这日神没有回答他。

从前以色列中，若有人去求问神，就这么说：“来，我们到先见那里去吧！”因现在的先知，从前称为先见。

列国看见，虽大有势力仍觉惭愧；他们必用手捂口，掩耳不听。

因为这疮，术士在摩西面前站立不住，术士和所有埃及人的身上都生了疮。

从前雅尼和佯庇怎样反对摩西，这等人也怎样抵挡真理；他们的心地败坏，信仰经不起考验。然而，他们没有进步，因为他们的愚昧必在众人面前显露出来，像那两人一样。

我们看不见自己的标帜，不再有先知，我们当中也无人知道这灾祸要到几时。

撒母耳对扫罗说：“你为什么搅扰我，招我上来呢？”扫罗说：“我十分为难，因为非利士人攻击我，神离开我，不再藉先知或梦回答我。因此请你上来，好指示我应当怎样做。”

术士也用邪术要照样产生蚊子，却做不成。于是人和牲畜的身上都有了蚊子。术士对法老说：“这是神的手指。”法老心里刚硬，不听摩西和亚伦，正如耶和华所说的。

你们若不将梦告诉我，只有一个办法对待你们；因为你们彼此串通，向我胡言乱语，要等候情势改变。现在，你们要将梦告诉我，让我知道你们真能为我解梦。”迦勒底人回答王说：“世上没有人能解释王的事情；从来没有君王、大臣、掌权者向术士、巫师，或迦勒底人问过这样的事。王所问的事很难，除了不与血肉之躯同住的神，没有人能在王面前解释。”
