耶稣就说：“你们不知道自己在求什么。我所喝的杯，你们能喝吗？我所受的洗礼，你们能受吗？”

“ You don’t know what you are asking,” Jesus said.“ Can you drink the cup I drink or be baptized with the baptism I am baptized with?”

不过我有该受的洗礼，在完成之前，我是多么困苦！

耶稣就对彼得说：“把刀收回鞘里！父所赐给我的杯，我难道能不喝吗？”

原来在耶和华的手中有杯，杯中酒泛着泡沫，充满混合物；他倒出酒，地上所有的恶人都必须喝，甚至连杯中的渣滓都要喝尽！

耶稣问她：“你要什么呢？”她说：“请准许我这两个儿子，在你的国里，一个坐在你的右边，一个坐在你的左边。”耶稣就回答说：“你们不知道自己在求什么。我将要喝的杯，你们能喝吗？”他们说：“我们能。”

他说：“阿爸！父啊！在你，没有不可能的事，请把这杯从我这里拿走吧！但不要照我的意愿，而要照你的意愿。”

说：“父啊，如果你愿意，请把这杯从我这里拿走吧！但不要成就我的意思，而要成就你的意思。”

况且，圣灵也照样扶助我们的软弱。事实上，我们不知道该祷告什么、如何祷告，但圣灵却亲自用说不出的叹息，为我们代求。

你的主耶和华，为子民辩屈的神如此说：“看哪！我已经从你手中拿走了使人踉跄的杯，就是我怒火的杯盏，你绝不会再喝它了。

耶稣稍往前走，把脸伏在地上祷告说：“我父啊，如果有可能，让这杯离开我吧！但不要照我的意愿，而要照你的意愿。”

你们求也不能得到，是因为你们求的动机不对，为了要花费在自己的私欲上。
