Someone ran, filled a sponge with wine vinegar, put it on a staff, and offered it to Jesus to drink.“ Now leave him alone. Let’s see if Elijah comes to take him down,” he said.

And someone ran and filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on a reed, and gave Him a drink, saying,“ Let us see if Elijah comes to take Him down.”

Then someone ran and filled a sponge full of sour wine, put it on a reed, and offered it to Him to drink, saying,“ Let Him alone; let us see if Elijah will come to take Him down.”

And one ran, and filling a sponge full of vinegar, put it on a reed, and gave him to drink, saying, Let be; let us see whether Elijah cometh to take him down.

Someone ran and filled a sponge with sour wine, fixed it on a reed, offered Him a drink, and said,“ Let’s see if Elijah comes to take Him down!”

And one ran and filled a spunge full of vinegar, and put[ it] on a reed, and gave him to drink, saying, Let alone; let us see whether Elias will come to take him down.

Then someone ran, filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on a stick, and gave it to him to drink, saying,“ Leave him alone! Let’s see if Elijah will come to take him down!”

One ran, and filling a sponge full of vinegar, put it on a reed, and gave it to him to drink, saying,“ Let him be. Let’s see whether Elijah comes to take him down.”

They put gall in my food and gave me vinegar for my thirst. (niv)

Then they offered him wine mixed with myrrh, but he did not take it. (niv)

The soldiers also came up and mocked him. They offered him wine vinegar (niv)

Later, knowing that everything had now been finished, and so that Scripture would be fulfilled, Jesus said,“ I am thirsty.”A jar of wine vinegar was there, so they soaked a sponge in it, put the sponge on a stalk of the hyssop plant, and lifted it to Jesus’ lips.When he had received the drink, Jesus said,“ It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
