他們喊叫：“神的兒子，我們跟你有甚麼關係呢？時候還沒有到，你就來這裡叫我們受苦嗎？”

就在那時，會堂裡有一個被污靈附著的人，喊叫起來，說：“拿撒勒人耶穌，我們跟你有甚麼關係呢？你來毀滅我們嗎？我知道你是誰，你是神的聖者。”

試探者前來對他說：“你若是神的兒子，就吩咐這些石頭變成食物吧！”

又有鬼從好些人身上出來，喊著說：“你是神的兒子。”耶穌斥責他們，不許他們說話，因為他們知道他是基督。

他一見耶穌，就俯伏喊叫，大聲說：“至高神的兒子耶穌，我跟你有甚麼關係呢？求你不要使我受苦。”

她跟著保羅和我們，喊叫說：“這些人是至高神的僕人，向你們傳講得救的道路。”

你信神只有一位，你信的不錯；就連鬼魔也信，卻是戰兢。

對他說：“你若是神的兒子，就跳下去吧！因為經上記著：‘神為了你，會吩咐自己的使者用手托住你，免得你的腳碰到石頭。’”

那時，有幾個趕鬼的猶太人，周遊各處，擅自用主耶穌的名，向身上有邪靈的人說：“我奉保羅所傳的耶穌的名，命令你們出來。”有一個猶太人士基瓦，是祭司長，他的七個兒子都作這事。邪靈回答他們：“耶穌我認識，保羅我也知道；你們是誰？”邪靈所附的那人就撲到他們身上，制伏了兩人，勝過了他們，使他們赤著身帶著傷，從那房子逃了出來。所有住在以弗所的猶太人和希臘人，都知道這件事；大家都懼怕，尊主耶穌的名為大。

他晝夜在墳墓裡和山野間喊叫，又用石頭砍自己。他遠遠地看見耶穌，就跑過去拜他，

船上的人都拜他，說：“你真是神的兒子。”

神的兒子（有些抄本無“神的兒子”一句）耶穌基督福音的開始。
