He told them,“ The secret of the kingdom of God has been given to you. But to those on the outside everything is said in parables

He told them,“ The secret of God’s kingdom has been given to you. But to outsiders everything is told using stories.

And he said to them,“ To you has been given the secret of the kingdom of God, but for those outside everything is in parables,

He replied,“ You are permitted to understand the secret of the Kingdom of God. But I use parables for everything I say to outsiders,

He answered them,“ The secret of the kingdom of God has been given to you, but to those outside, everything comes in parables

And He was saying to them,“ To you has been given the mystery of the kingdom of God, but for those who are outside, everything comes in parables,

And He said to them,“ To you it has been given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God; but to those who are outside, all things come in parables,

And he said unto them, Unto you is given the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all things are done in parables:

He answered them,“ The secret of the kingdom of God has been given to you, but to those outside, everything comes in parables

And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all[ these] things are done in parables:

At that time Jesus said,“ I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. (niv)

Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. (niv)

What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside?God will judge those outside.“ Expel the wicked person from among you.” (niv)

He must also have a good reputation with outsiders, so that he will not fall into disgrace and into the devil’s trap. (niv)

He said,“ The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of God has been given to you, but to others I speak in parables, so that,“‘ though seeing, they may not see; though hearing, they may not understand.’ (niv)

Don’t be deceived, my dear brothers and sisters.Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created. (niv)

so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody. (niv)

At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another.But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared,he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit,whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior,so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life. he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, (niv)

But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy,made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions— it is by grace you have been saved.And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus,in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith— and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. He replied,“ Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them.Whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them.This is why I speak to them in parables:“ Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand. (niv)

At that time Jesus, full of joy through the Holy Spirit, said,“ I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this is what you were pleased to do.“ All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows who the Son is except the Father, and no one knows who the Father is except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.”Then he turned to his disciples and said privately,“ Blessed are the eyes that see what you see.For I tell you that many prophets and kings wanted to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.” (niv)

Jesus replied,“ Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. (niv)

For who makes you different from anyone else? What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as though you did not? (niv)

But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear. (niv)

For God, who said,“ Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ. (niv)
