曰：『此非若瑟之子耶穌乎？厥父若母、非吾人所素識乎？而彼竟自謂降自天上何也？』

凡對予廓然不疑者、福哉斯人！』

耶穌方訓眾、其母與兄弟竚立於外、欲與之語。或報耶穌曰：

既入城、登一樓房、即諸徒之所寓也。諸徒者、伯鐸祿、若望、雅谷伯、安德烈、斐理伯、多默、巴多樂茂、瑪竇、亞爾弗子雅各伯、奮銳黨西門、雅谷伯之弟樹德是也。

渠非梓人之子乎？厥母非名瑪莉雅乎？厥兄若弟、非雅各伯、若瑟、西門、樹德乎？厥姊若妹、非與吾輩為比鄰乎？然則斯人亦安得有此耶？』遂疑忌耶穌。耶穌曰：『先知之不見尊、其惟在故鄉族中歟。』

西默翁祝之、謂聖母曰：『此子之誕生、義塞眾人之禍福興亡繫焉。斯天下之正鵠、而又眾矢之的也。

而吾人所傳揚者、乃一被釘於十字架之基督耳。此於猶太人為躓石、於異邦人為愚妄；

凡此皆在葛法農會堂施訓時之所言也。門徒聞之、多曰『此語亦已甚矣！其誰能聽之？』

又有數婦、從遠望之、內有瑪達蘭之瑪麗、雅谷伯與若西之母瑪利亞、及沙羅梅、

然則吾輩豈無權受人供養、以飲以食乎？

樹德（非茹答斯依斯加略）問曰：『主將何以自顯於吾儕、而不顯於世人乎？』

眾皆領教、且歎佩其口中所發之仁言、咸相謂曰：『此非若瑟之子耶？』耶穌曰：『爾等必引諺以責予曰：「為醫者、盍先自醫；吾聞汝在葛法農多行奇迹、亦宜行之於故鄉也。」』既又曰：『予誠語爾、先知未有見容於故土者也。予實告爾、伊理藹時、天閉三載有半、遍地大飢、義塞國中固多嫠婦、而伊理藹未曾奉命往視一婦、獨往視西同沙萊達之一嫠、先知伊理叟時、義塞國中固多患痲瘋者、無有獲潔、有之惟西陸人南曼。』在堂之眾、聞言怒甚、群起而逐之城外。城固築於山上、眾因曳至崖巔欲推之崖下；

凡不予疑怪者、福哉斯人！』

自宜欣然就之。渠乃具有生命之磐石、世人之所擯棄、而天主之所器重也。

耶穌基督之僕、雅谷伯之弟、樹德、致書於天主聖父所垂愛、耶穌基督所庇護之諸蒙召者曰：
