从此，耶稣才指示门徒，他必须上耶路撒冷去，受长老、祭司长、文士许多的苦，并且被杀，第三日复活。

“看哪，我们上耶路撒冷去，人子要被交给祭司长和文士。他们要定他死罪，又交给外邦人，将他戏弄，鞭打，钉在十字架上；第三日他要复活。”

耶稣说：“以利亚固然先来复兴万事；经上不是指着人子说，他要受许多的苦被人轻慢呢？

从此，他教训他们说：“人子必须受许多的苦，被长老、祭司长，和文士弃绝，并且被杀，过三天复活。”

耶稣对他们说：“这就是我从前与你们同在之时所告诉你们的话说：摩西的律法、先知的书，和诗篇上所记的，凡指着我的话都必须应验。”于是耶稣开他们的心窍，使他们能明白圣经，又对他们说：“照经上所写的，基督必受害，第三日从死里复活，

基督这样受害，又进入他的荣耀，岂不是应当的吗？”

“你们知道，过两天是逾越节，人子将要被交给人，钉在十字架上。”

不料，园户看见他儿子，就彼此说：‘这是承受产业的。来吧，我们杀他，占他的产业！’他们就拿住他，推出葡萄园外，杀了。

耶稣带着十二个门徒，对他们说：“看哪，我们上耶路撒冷去，先知所写的一切事都要成就在人子身上。他将要被交给外邦人；他们要戏弄他，凌辱他，吐唾沫在他脸上，并要鞭打他，杀害他；第三日他要复活。”

正如人子来，不是要受人的服侍，乃是要服侍人，并且要舍命，作多人的赎价。”

他既按着神的定旨先见被交与人，你们就藉着无法之人的手，把他钉在十字架上，杀了。神却将死的痛苦解释了，叫他复活，因为他原不能被死拘禁。

没有人夺我的命去，是我自己舍的。我有权柄舍了，也有权柄取回来。这是我从我父所受的命令。”

摩西在旷野怎样举蛇，人子也必照样被举起来，

希律和本丢彼拉多，外邦人和以色列民，果然在这城里聚集，要攻打你所膏的圣仆耶稣，成就你手和你意旨所预定必有的事。

“你们要把这些话存在耳中，因为人子将要被交在人手里。”

耶稣回答说：“你们拆毁这殿，我三日内要再建立起来。”

我们若能忍耐，也必和他一同作王。我们若不认他，他也必不认我们；
