Now the leaders of the people settled in Jerusalem. The rest of the people cast lots to bring one out of every ten of them to live in Jerusalem, the holy city, while the remaining nine were to stay in their own towns.

你们还自称为圣城的人，声称倚靠名为万军之耶和华的以色列的上帝。

在圣城的利未人共有二百八十四名。

我们的祭司、利未人和民众抽签，决定每年哪一族要在指定的时间把献祭时所需用的木材带到我们上帝的殿里，按照律法的规定烧在我们的上帝耶和华的坛上。

锡安啊，醒来吧，醒来吧，展示你的能力！圣城耶路撒冷啊，穿上你华美的衣服！从今以后，未受割礼和不洁净的人必不得进入你的城门。

魔鬼又带祂进圣城，让祂站在圣殿的最高处，

他们在耶稣复活后离开坟墓，进圣城向许多人显现。

他们无论大小，都按照族系抽签，以决定看守哪个门。

大家便祷告说：“主啊！你洞悉人的内心，求你指明这两个人中你要拣选哪一个来担负使徒的职分。犹大丢弃了这职分，去了他该去的地方。”

约书亚便在示罗按照以色列的支派，在耶和华面前为他们抽签分地。

这城很大，但人口稀少，房屋尚未重建。我的上帝感动我召集贵族、官员和民众，按照他们的家谱进行登记。我找到第一批回归之人的家谱，上面记着：

那里有审判的王座，就是大卫家的王座。

“如果案件复杂，难以决断，如谋杀、诉讼、人身伤害等，就要把案件带到你们的上帝耶和华选定的地方，交给当值的利未祭司和审判官去审理。

现在我们要抽签去攻打基比亚。我们要从各支派中抽出十分之一的人负责运粮，等军队到达基比亚后，就可以讨伐在以色列做出这种卑鄙之事的基比亚人。”

人可以摇签求问，但耶和华决定一切。
