At that time men were appointed to be in charge of the storerooms for the contributions, firstfruits and tithes. From the fields around the towns they were to bring into the storerooms the portions required by the Law for the priests and the Levites, for Judah was pleased with the ministering priests and Levites.

At that time some men were put in charge of the storerooms. That’s where all the gifts the people brought were placed. Those gifts included the first shares of their crops. They also included a tenth of everything the Law required. Crops were harvested from the fields around the towns. The people had to bring the shares of those crops that were required by the Law. They gave them to the priests and Levites. That’s because the people of Judah were pleased with the priests and Levites who were serving God.

On that day men were appointed over the storerooms, the contributions, the firstfruits, and the tithes, to gather into them the portions required by the Law for the priests and for the Levites according to the fields of the towns, for Judah rejoiced over the priests and the Levites who ministered.

人若听从我、天天在我门口仰望、时时在我门边等候，就有福了。

革顺族拉但的子孙中做族长的有耶希伊利。耶希伊利的两个儿子西坦和约珥负责管理耶和华殿里的库房。暗兰族、以斯哈族、希伯仑族、乌歇族也各有其职。摩西的孙子——革舜的儿子细布业是库房的主管。细布业的亲族有以利以谢，以利以谢的儿子是利哈比雅，利哈比雅的儿子是耶筛亚，耶筛亚的儿子是约兰，约兰的儿子是细基利，细基利的儿子是示罗密。示罗密及其亲族负责管理库房中的奉献之物，这些物品是大卫王、众族长、千夫长、百夫长和将领献给上帝的圣物。

“二十五岁以上的利未人都要到会幕司职，五十岁时退休。

你要指派亚伦父子们尽祭司的职分，其他人若走近圣幕，必被处死。”

服侍的，要忠心服侍；教导的，要专一教导；

但仰望耶和华的人必重新得力。他们必像鹰一样展翅高飞，他们奔跑也不困倦，他们行走也不疲乏。

他们每天早晚向耶和华献燔祭，烧芬芳的香，把供饼摆在洁净的桌子上，每晚点上金灯台的灯。我们遵守我们上帝耶和华的吩咐，你们却背弃祂。上帝与我们同在，祂率领我们。祂的祭司就要吹响向你们进攻的号角。以色列人啊，不要与你们祖先的上帝耶和华作对，因为你们绝不会得胜。”

他们的任务是帮助亚伦的子孙在耶和华的殿里司职，管理殿的院子和厢房，负责洁净圣物等事务。
