昔爾列祖、豈非行是、致我上帝降諸災於我儕、及斯邑乎、爾今又犯安息、使怒及於以色列、尤有甚焉、

昔我列祖行是、上帝降災、罰及我身、殲滅斯邑、爾又犯之、貽禍於以色列族、尤有甚焉。

昔列祖亦如斯行、我天主以此諸災、降於我儕及此城、今爾犯安息日、使以色列人干主怒尤甚、

Didn’t your ancestors do the same things, so that our God brought all this calamity on us and on this city? Now you are stirring up more wrath against Israel by desecrating the Sabbath.”

Your people of long ago did the very same things. That’s why our God has brought all this trouble on us. That’s why he’s making this city suffer so much. Now you are making him even angrier against Israel. You are misusing the Sabbath day.”

Did not your fathers act in this way, and did not our God bring all this disaster on us and on this city? Now you are bringing more wrath on Israel by profaning the Sabbath.”

“ Wasn’t it just this sort of thing that your ancestors did that caused our God to bring all this trouble upon us and our city? Now you are bringing even more wrath upon Israel by permitting the Sabbath to be desecrated in this way!”

Didn’t your ancestors do the same, so that our God brought all this disaster on us and on this city? And now you are rekindling his anger against Israel by profaning the Sabbath!”

Did your fathers not do the same, so that our God brought on us and on this city all this trouble? Yet you are adding to the wrath against Israel by profaning the Sabbath.”

Did not your fathers do thus, and did not our God bring all this disaster on us and on this city? Yet you bring added wrath on Israel by profaning the Sabbath.”

Did not your fathers thus, and did not our God bring all this evil upon us, and upon this city? yet ye bring more wrath upon Israel by profaning the sabbath.

Didn’t your ancestors do the same, so that our God brought all this disaster on us and on this city? And now you are rekindling His anger against Israel by profaning the Sabbath!”

Isn’t this the way your ancestors acted, causing our God to bring on them and on this city all this misfortune? And now you are causing even more wrath on Israel, profaning the Sabbath like this!”

耶和华如此说：你们要谨慎，不可在安息日挑什么担子进入耶路撒冷的城门，也不可在安息日从家中挑担子出去。无论何工都不可做，只要以安息日为圣日，正如我所吩咐你们祖先的。’他们却不听从，也不侧耳而听，竟硬着颈项不听，不肯领受训诲。

我们因自己的恶行和大罪，遭遇这一切的事，但你—我们的神惩罚我们轻于我们罪所当得的，又为我们留下这些残存之民。我们岂可再违背你的诫命，与行这些可憎之事的民族结亲呢？若我们这样行，你岂不向我们发怒，将我们灭绝，以致没有一个余民或残存之民吗？耶和华—以色列的神啊，你是公义的，我们才能剩下这些残存之民，正如今日的景况。看哪，我们在你面前有罪恶，因此无人能在你面前站立得住。”

如果这样，你们还不听从我，我就要因你们的罪，加重七倍惩罚你们。

他们必剥去你的衣服，夺取你美丽的宝物。

从前我们在毗珥犯的罪孽，导致瘟疫临到耶和华的会众，甚至到今日都还没有洗净，这还算小事吗？你们今日竟然离弃耶和华不跟从他！你们今日既然悖逆耶和华，明日他必向以色列全会众发怒。

你们祖先的恶行，犹大诸王和后妃的恶行，你们自己和你们妻子的恶行，就是在犹大地和耶路撒冷街市上所做的，你们都忘了吗？

她从埃及的时候，就没有离开过淫乱；因为她年轻时，有人与她同寝，抚弄她少女的乳房，和她纵欲行淫。

我就要向你们发烈怒，行事与你们作对，因你们的罪，加重七倍惩罚你们。

不要效法你们的祖先。从前的先知呼叫他们说：‘万军之耶和华如此说，当回转离开你们的恶道恶行。’他们却不听，也不顺从我。这是耶和华说的。你们的祖先在哪里呢？那些先知能永远存活吗？然而我的言语和律例，就是我所吩咐我仆人众先知的，岂不临到你们的祖先吗？他们就回转，说：万军之耶和华定意按我们的所作所为对待我们，他也已经照样行了。”

看哪，你们这一伙罪人，竟然接续你们父执之辈，再增加耶和华对以色列所发的怒气。

你们若不听从我，不以安息日为圣日，仍在安息日挑担子进入耶路撒冷的各城门，我必在城门中点火；这火必烧毁耶路撒冷的宫殿，不会熄灭。”

耶和华因你们所行的恶、所做可憎的事，不能再容忍，所以使你们的地荒凉，受惊骇诅咒，无人居住，正如今日一样。
