Therefore I stationed some of the people behind the lowest points of the wall at the exposed places, posting them by families, with their swords, spears and bows.

他们建造城墙；扛抬材料的人扛抬的时候，一手做工，一手拿兵器。建造的人都腰间佩刀建造，吹角的人在我旁边。

要穿戴神所赐的全副军装，好抵挡魔鬼的诡计。因为我们的争战并不是对抗有血有肉的人，而是对抗那些执政的、掌权的、管辖这幽暗世界的，以及天空灵界的恶魔。所以，要拿起神所赐的全副军装，好在邪恶的日子能抵挡仇敌，并且完成了一切后还能站立得住。所以，要站稳了，用真理当作带子束腰，用公义当作护心镜遮胸，又用和平的福音当作预备走路的鞋穿在脚上。此外，要拿信德当作盾牌，用来扑灭那恶者一切烧着的箭。要戴上救恩的头盔，拿着圣灵的宝剑—就是神的道。要靠着圣灵，随时多方祷告祈求，并要为此警醒不倦，为众圣徒祈求。也要为我祈求，让我有口才，能放胆开口讲明福音的奥秘，我为这福音的奥秘作了带铁链的使者，让我能照着当尽的本分放胆宣讲。

施恩与人、借贷与人、秉公处事的人必享美福，

“看哪！我差你们出去，如同羊进入狼群，所以你们要机警如蛇，纯真如鸽。

弟兄们，在心志上不要作小孩子。但是，在恶事上要作婴孩，而在心志上总要作大人。

希西家见西拿基立来，定意要攻打耶路撒冷，就与领袖和勇士商议，塞住城外的泉源；他们都帮助他。于是许多百姓聚集，塞住一切泉源，以及国中流通的小河，说：“亚述诸王来，为何让他们得着许多水呢？”希西家奋勇自强，修筑所有毁坏的城墙，升高城楼，又在城外筑另一片城墙，坚固大卫城的米罗，制造许多兵器和盾牌。他设立军事将领管理百姓，召集他们在城门的广场，勉励他们，说：“你们当刚强壮胆，不要因亚述王和跟随他的大军恐惧惊慌，因为与我们同在的，比与他们同在的更大。与他们同在的是血肉之臂，但与我们同在的是耶和华—我们的神，他必帮助我们，为我们争战。”百姓因犹大王希西家的话就得到鼓励。

当夜，雅各在那里住宿，就从他手中所拥有的拿礼物要送给他哥哥以扫，就是二百只母山羊、二十只公山羊、二百只母绵羊、二十只公绵羊、三十匹哺乳的母骆驼和它们的小骆驼、四十头母牛、十头公牛、二十匹母驴和十匹公驴。他把每种牲畜各分一群，交在仆人手中，对仆人说：“你们要在我的前头过去，使群和群之间保持一段距离”。他又吩咐领头的人说：“我哥哥以扫遇见你的时候，问你说：‘你是谁的人？要往哪里去？你前面这些是谁的？’你就说：‘是你仆人雅各的，是送给我主以扫的礼物。看哪，他自己也在我们后面。’”他又吩咐第二、第三和所有赶畜群的人说：“你们遇见以扫的时候要照这样的话对他说，你们还要说：‘看哪，你仆人雅各在我们后面。’”因雅各说：“我藉着在我前面送去的礼物给他面子，然后再见他的面，或许他会宽容我。”

看哪，是所罗门的轿，周围有六十个勇士，都是以色列中的勇士。他们的手都持刀，善于争战，各人腰间佩刀，防备夜间恐怖的攻击。
