到了天亮，犹太人同谋起誓，说“若不先杀保罗就不吃不喝”。参与这阴谋的有四十多人。

万民哪，任凭你们行恶，终必毁灭；远方的众人哪，当侧耳而听！任凭你们束腰，终必毁灭；你们束起腰来，终必毁灭。任凭你们筹算什么，终必无效；不管你们讲定什么，总不成立；因为上帝与我们同在。

我听见许多的毁谤，四围都是惊吓；连我知己朋友都看着我跌倒：“告他吧，我们要告他！或者他被引诱，我们就能胜他，在他身上报仇。”
