我又說：『你們所行的這事很不好；你們行事為人、豈不當存着敬畏我們的上帝的心，以避免我們的仇敵、外國人、的毁謗麼？

永恆主喜悅的、乃是敬畏他的、仰望他的堅愛的人。

因忠愛與誠信、罪孽就得赦除；由於敬畏永恆主、人就免受禍患。

因為上帝降的災難使我恐懼，他的尊嚴我當不起。

甚至在未燻脂肪以前、祭司的僮僕就來，對獻祭的人說：『將肉給祭司去烤吧！他不要跟你取煮過的，只要生的。』獻祭的人若對他說：『人必須先燻脂肪，然後你才可以隨意去取』；僮僕就說：『不，你現在就給，不然我便強取。』這樣，那兩個青年人的罪在永恆主面前就非常大了，因為人們都藐視獻與永恆主的供物。

除了我本人不連累你們這一件事以外，你們還有甚麼被壓下、以致不如其餘的教會呢？這個委屈、你們饒恕我吧！
