我又说：“你们所行的不善！你们行事不当敬畏我们的神吗？不然，难免我们的仇敌外邦人毁谤我们。

我又说：“你们做的这事不对！你们行事不是应该敬畏我们的上帝，免得列国我们的仇敌毁谤我们吗？

我又说：“你们做的这事不对！你们行事不是应该敬畏我们的神，免得列国我们的仇敌毁谤我们吗？

我继续说：“你们的所作所为实在不对。难道你们不应该敬畏上帝，以免我们的仇敌凌辱我们吗？

我又说：“你们这事作得不对。你们岂不应怀着敬畏我们神的心行事为人，免遭我们的仇敌外族人的毁谤吗？

我又說：「你們所行的不善！你們行事不當敬畏我們的神嗎？不然，難免我們的仇敵外邦人毀謗我們。

我又說：「你們做的這事不對！你們行事不是應該敬畏我們的上帝，免得列國我們的仇敵毀謗我們嗎？

我又說：「你們做的這事不對！你們行事不是應該敬畏我們的神，免得列國我們的仇敵毀謗我們嗎？

我繼續說：「你們的所作所為實在不對。難道你們不應該敬畏上帝，以免我們的仇敵凌辱我們嗎？

我又說：“你們這事作得不對。你們豈不應懷著敬畏我們神的心行事為人，免遭我們的仇敵外族人的毀謗嗎？

我又說：『你們所行的這事很不好；你們行事為人、豈不當存着敬畏我們的上帝的心，以避免我們的仇敵、外國人、的毁謗麼？

我又曰、爾曹所為不善、爾之行事、不當寅畏我之上帝、免我敵諸國之謗乎、

我又曰、爾所為不善、尚其寅畏上帝、則敵我之異邦人、誰敢侮予。

我又曰、爾所為不善、爾行事當敬畏我天主、不然、難免被異邦人我敵恥笑、恥笑或作訕謗

So I continued,“ What you are doing is not right. Shouldn’t you walk in the fear of our God to avoid the reproach of our Gentile enemies?

So I continued,“ What you are doing isn’t right. Shouldn’t you show respect for our God? Shouldn’t you live in a way that will keep our enemies from saying bad things about us?

So I said,“ The thing that you are doing is not good. Ought you not to walk in the fear of our God to prevent the taunts of the nations our enemies?

Then I pressed further,“ What you are doing is not right! Should you not walk in the fear of our God in order to avoid being mocked by enemy nations?

Then I said,“ What you are doing isn’t right. Shouldn’t you walk in the fear of our God and not invite the reproach of our foreign enemies?

So I said,“ The thing which you are doing is not good; should you not walk in the fear of our God because of the taunting of the nations, our enemies?

Then I said,“ What you are doing is not good. Should you not walk in the fear of our God because of the reproach of the nations, our enemies?

Also I said, The thing that ye do is not good: ought ye not to walk in the fear of our God, because of the reproach of the nations our enemies?

Then I said,“ What you are doing isn’t right. Shouldn’t you walk in the fear of our God and not invite the reproach of our foreign enemies?

Also I said, It[ is] not good that ye do: ought ye not to walk in the fear of our God because of the reproach of the heathen our enemies?

Then I said,“ The thing that you are doing is wrong! Should you not conduct yourselves in the fear of our God in order to avoid the reproach of the Gentiles who are our enemies?

Also I said,“ The thing that you do is not good. Shouldn’t you walk in the fear of our God, because of the reproach of the nations our enemies?

Do not take interest or any profit from them, but fear your God, so that they may continue to live among you. (niv)

But because by doing this you have shown utter contempt for the Lord, the son born to you will die.” (niv)

Desire without knowledge is not good— how much more will hasty feet miss the way! (niv)

On the third day, Joseph said to them,“ Do this and you will live, for I fear God: (niv)

A violent person entices their neighbor and leads them down a path that is not good. (niv)

But the earlier governors— those preceding me— placed a heavy burden on the people and took forty shekels of silver from them in addition to food and wine. Their assistants also lorded it over the people. But out of reverence for God I did not act like that. (niv)

Abraham replied,“ I said to myself,‘ There is surely no fear of God in this place, and they will kill me because of my wife.’ (niv)

No, my sons; the report I hear spreading among the Lord’s people is not good. (niv)

Then the church throughout Judea, Galilee and Samaria enjoyed a time of peace and was strengthened. Living in the fear of the Lord and encouraged by the Holy Spirit, it increased in numbers. (niv)

to be self- controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God. (niv)

These also are sayings of the wise: To show partiality in judging is not good: (niv)

And quarreling arose between Abram’s herders and Lot’s. The Canaanites and Perizzites were also living in the land at that time.So Abram said to Lot,“ Let’s not have any quarreling between you and me, or between your herders and mine, for we are close relatives. (niv)

And wherever they went among the nations they profaned my holy name, for it was said of them,‘ These are the Lord’s people, and yet they had to leave his land.’ (niv)

Hear us, our God, for we are despised. Turn their insults back on their own heads. Give them over as plunder in a land of captivity. (niv)

It is not good to be partial to the wicked and so deprive the innocent of justice. (niv)

As it is written:“ God’s name is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you.” (niv)

If imposing a fine on the innocent is not good, surely to flog honest officials is not right. (niv)

Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us. (niv)

So I counsel younger widows to marry, to have children, to manage their homes and to give the enemy no opportunity for slander. (niv)
