in which was written:“ It is reported among the nations— and Geshem says it is true— that you and the Jews are plotting to revolt, and therefore you are building the wall. Moreover, according to these reports you are about to become their king

It said,“ A report is going around among the nations. Geshem says it’s true. We hear that you and the other Jews are planning to turn against the Persian rulers. And that’s why you are building the wall. It’s also reported that you are about to become their king.

In it was written,“ It is reported among the nations, and Geshem also says it, that you and the Jews intend to rebel; that is why you are building the wall. And according to these reports you wish to become their king.

and this is what it said:“ There is a rumor among the surrounding nations, and Geshem tells me it is true, that you and the Jews are planning to rebel and that is why you are building the wall. According to his reports, you plan to be their king.

In it was written: It is reported among the nations— and Geshem agrees— that you and the Jews plan to rebel. This is the reason you are building the wall. According to these reports, you are to become their king

但和倫人參巴拉和作臣僕的亞捫人多比雅，以及阿拉伯人基善聽見了，就譏笑我們，藐視我們，說：“你們在幹甚麼？你們要背叛王嗎？”

奏知大王：從你那裡上到我們這裡來的猶大人，已經到了耶路撒冷這座叛逆和邪惡的城；他們進行建造，並且已經修好根基，開始建造城牆。

為甚麼不說：“我們去作惡以成善吧！”（有人毀謗我們，說我們講過這話。）這種人被定罪是理所當然的。

參巴拉、多比雅、阿拉伯人基善和我們其餘的仇敵聽見我重建好了城牆，城牆再沒有破口。不過那時我還沒有在城門上裝上門扇。參巴拉和基善就差派人來見我說：“請你來，我們在阿那平原上的一個村莊會面吧！”其實他們想要謀害我。

彼拉多聽了這些話，就把耶穌帶到外面，到了一個名叫“鋪石地”（希伯來話叫加巴大）的地方，就在那裡開庭審問。

你們在教外人中，應當品行端正，使那些人，雖然毀謗你們是作惡的，但因為看見你們的好行為，就要在鑒察的日子頌讚神。你們為主的緣故，要順服人的一切制度，無論是至尊的君王，

我聽見許多人耳語：“瑪歌珥．米撒畢！告發他，我們要告發他！”我所有的知己朋友都等著看我行差踏錯，他們說：“希望他會上當，我們就可以勝過他，向他報復。”

控告他說：“我們查出這個人煽惑我們的同胞，阻止納稅給凱撒，並且自稱是基督，是王。”

人若因我的緣故辱罵你們，迫害你們，並且捏造各樣壞話毀謗你們，你們就有福了。

請王查考先王的記錄，從記錄中查知這城是叛逆的城，對列王和各省都有損害，自古以來，城中常有造反的事，因此這城被拆毀。

但要用溫柔敬畏的心回答。當存無愧的良心，使那些誣賴你們這在基督裡有好品行的人，在毀謗你們的事上蒙羞。

藉著榮耀和羞辱、壞名聲和好名譽。我們好像是騙人的，卻是真誠的，

“他們彎曲舌頭，像彎弓一樣；在這地得勢的是虛謊，不是誠實；因為他們變本加厲地作惡，連我也不認識。”這是耶和華的宣告。“你們各人要提防自己的鄰舍，不要信靠兄弟；因為每一個兄弟都在欺騙人，每一個鄰舍都搬弄是非。他們各人都欺騙自己的鄰舍，不說誠實話。他們訓練自己的舌頭說謊話，竭力作孽，以致他們不能回轉（按照《馬索拉文本》，本句意思難確定；現參照《七十士譯本》翻譯）。欺凌加上欺凌，詭詐加上詭詐（按照《馬索拉文本》，“欺凌加上欺凌，詭詐加上詭詐”作“你的住所在詭詐中；在詭詐裡”；現參照《七十士譯本》翻譯），他們不肯認識我。”這是耶和華的宣告。
