They refused to listen and failed to remember the miracles you performed among them. They became stiff-necked and in their rebellion appointed a leader in order to return to their slavery. But you are a forgiving God, gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love. Therefore you did not desert them,

They refused to listen to you. They forgot the miracles you had done among them. So they became stubborn. When they refused to obey you, they appointed a leader for themselves. They wanted to go back to being slaves in Egypt. But you are a God who forgives. You are gracious. You are tender and kind. You are slow to get angry. You are full of love. So you didn’t desert them.

They refused to obey and were not mindful of the wonders that you performed among them, but they stiffened their neck and appointed a leader to return to their slavery in Egypt. But you are a God ready to forgive, gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, and did not forsake them.

愿邪恶的人停止作恶，不义的人除掉恶念。愿他们归向耶和华，祂必怜悯他们；愿他们归向我们的上帝，祂必仁慈地赦免他们。耶和华说：“我的意念并非你们的意念，我的道路并非你们的道路。正如天高过地，我的道路也高过你们的道路，我的意念也高过你们的意念。

然而，他们很快忘了祂的作为，不愿等候祂的引导。

你们要撕心般地悔改，而不是撕裂衣服。归向你们的上帝耶和华吧，因为祂有恩典和怜悯，不轻易发怒，有无限的慈爱，不忍心降灾祸。

祂多次拯救他们，他们却执意背叛，陷入罪中不能自拔。但祂听见他们在苦难中呼求时，仍然眷顾他们。祂没有忘记与他们立的约，因祂伟大无比的爱而怜悯他们。祂使掳掠他们的人怜悯他们。

但上帝充满怜悯，赦免了他们的罪，没有毁灭他们。祂多次收住怒气，没有完全发出祂的烈怒。

他们藐视那佳美之地，不相信祂的应许。他们在帐篷里发怨言，不听从祂的命令。

我们祖先在埃及漠视你行的神迹，忘记你向他们屡施慈爱，在红海边反叛你。

‘耶和华不轻易发怒，充满慈爱；祂赦免罪恶和过犯，但决不免除罪责，必向子孙追讨父辈的罪债，直到三四代。’从他们离开埃及直到现在，你一直在饶恕他们，求你以伟大的慈爱再次赦免这些人的罪。”

耶和华为什么把我们领到这里来，让我们死于刀下？我们的妻儿必被掳去。我们还不如返回埃及。”他们彼此议论说：“我们选一位首领带我们回埃及吧！”

耶和华有怜悯和恩典，不轻易发怒，充满慈爱。祂不永久责备人，也不永远怀怒。祂没有按我们的过犯对待我们，也没有照我们的罪恶惩罚我们。因为天离地有多高，祂对敬畏祂之人的爱也多大！东离西有多远，祂叫我们的过犯离我们也多远！耶和华怜爱敬畏祂的人，如同慈父怜爱自己的儿女。因为祂知道我们的本源，顾念我们不过是尘土。世人的年日如同草芥，如野地茂盛的花，一经风吹，便无影无踪，永远消逝。耶和华永永远远爱敬畏祂的人，以公义待他们的子子孙孙，就是那些守祂的约、一心遵行祂命令的人。

你并没有领我们到奶蜜之乡，也没有给我们田地和葡萄园作产业，你还想继续蒙骗我们吗？我们不去！”

有何神明像你一样赦免罪恶，饶恕你幸存子民的过犯？你不会永远发怒，因为你乐于施恩。你必再怜悯我们，将我们的罪恶践踏在脚下，把我们的一切过犯抛进深海。

然而，你赦免我们，所以你当受敬畏。

虽然你们已经知道这些事，并且在所领受的真道上也很坚固，但我还是要常常提醒你们。我觉得应当趁着我还在世的时候提醒你们，激励你们，因我知道自己离世的日子已经不远了，正如我们的主耶稣基督指示我的。我要尽力使你们在我离世以后仍然常常记得这些事。

耶和华在摩西面前经过，并且宣告说：“我是耶和华，我是耶和华，是有怜悯和恩典的上帝，不轻易发怒，充满慈爱，无比信实，向千万人彰显慈爱，赦免罪恶和过犯，但决不免除罪责，必向子孙追讨父辈的罪债，直到三四代。”

我必住在以色列人当中，不抛弃我的以色列子民。”

耶和华对摩西说：“这些人藐视我要到何时呢？我在他们中间行了这么多神迹，他们仍然不相信我。

耶和华有恩典和怜悯，不轻易发怒，充满慈爱。耶和华善待万民，怜悯祂所造的万物。

“可是我们的祖先不听从他，甚至弃绝他，心里对埃及恋恋不舍。

你们还不明白吗？你们不记得那五个饼让五千人吃饱，又装满多少篮子吗？也不记得那七个饼给四千人吃饱，又装满多少筐子吗？我说你们要提防法利赛人和撒都该人的酵，指的不是饼，你们怎么不明白呢？”

我们赞美祂奇妙无比的恩典，这恩典是上帝借着祂的爱子赐给我们的。我们借着祂爱子的血蒙救赎，过犯得到赦免，这都是出于祂的洪恩。

摩西说：“你们为什么要违背耶和华的命令？你们不会成功的。

祂曾对摩西说：“我要怜悯谁就怜悯谁，要恩待谁就恩待谁。”

你们必须谨慎，切勿拒绝对你们说话的上帝。因为以色列人违背了在地上警戒他们的人，尚且逃脱不了惩罚，何况我们违背从天上警戒我们的上帝呢？

我呼唤你们，你们却充耳不闻；我向你们招手，你们却视若无睹。

愿我们的上帝耶和华与我们同在，就像与我们的祖先同在一样。愿祂永远都不撇下我们，不丢弃我们，
