我之列祖、受苦於埃及、爾鑒之、哀號於紅海、爾聞之、

我之列祖於埃及、備受艱辛、爾鑒之、在紅海籲呼、爾聞之、

我列祖在伊及受艱苦、主鑒之、在紅海呼籲、主聽之、

“ You saw the suffering of our ancestors in Egypt; you heard their cry at the Red Sea.

“ You saw how our people of long ago suffered in Egypt. You heard them cry out to you at the Red Sea.

“ And you saw the affliction of our fathers in Egypt and heard their cry at the Red Sea,

“ You saw the misery of our ancestors in Egypt, and you heard their cries from beside the Red Sea.

You saw the oppression of our ancestors in Egypt and heard their cry at the Red Sea.

“ You saw the affliction of our fathers in Egypt, And heard their cry by the Red Sea.

“ You saw the affliction of our fathers in Egypt, And heard their cry by the Red Sea.

And thou sawest the affliction of our fathers in Egypt, and heardest their cry by the Red Sea,

You saw the oppression of our ancestors in Egypt and heard their cry at the Red Sea.

And didst see the affliction of our fathers in Egypt, and heardest their cry by the Red sea;

“ You saw the affliction of our ancestors in Egypt, and you heard their cry at the Red Sea.

“ You saw the affliction of our fathers in Egypt, and heard their cry by the Red Sea,

As Pharaoh approached, the Israelites looked up, and there were the Egyptians, marching after them. They were terrified and cried out to the Lord.They said to Moses,“ Was it because there were no graves in Egypt that you brought us to the desert to die? What have you done to us by bringing us out of Egypt?Didn’t we say to you in Egypt,‘ Leave us alone; let us serve the Egyptians’? It would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the desert!Moses answered the people,“ Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again.The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” (niv)

The Lord said,“ I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering.So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey— the home of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites.And now the cry of the Israelites has reached me, and I have seen the way the Egyptians are oppressing them. (niv)

I have indeed seen the oppression of my people in Egypt. I have heard their groaning and have come down to set them free. Now come, I will send you back to Egypt.’ (niv)

So God looked on the Israelites and was concerned about them. (niv)

“ Go, assemble the elders of Israel and say to them,‘ The Lord, the God of your fathers— the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob— appeared to me and said: I have watched over you and have seen what has been done to you in Egypt. (niv)
