You will have these tassels to look at and so you will remember all the commands of the Lord, that you may obey them and not prostitute yourselves by chasing after the lusts of your own hearts and eyes.

You will have the tassels to look at. They will remind you to obey all the Lord’ s commands. Then you will be faithful to him. You will not chase after what your own hearts and eyes wish for.

And it shall be a tassel for you to look at and remember all the commandments of the Lord, to do them, not to follow after your own heart and your own eyes, which you are inclined to whore after.

When you see the tassels, you will remember and obey all the commands of the Lord instead of following your own desires and defiling yourselves, as you are prone to do.

我儿啊，不要忘记我的教诲，你的心要谨守我的命令，

我的脚步若偏离正路，我的心若随从我眼目，我的手掌若粘有污秽；

年轻人哪，你在年少时当快乐；在年轻时使你的心欢畅，做你心所愿做的，看你眼所爱看的；却要知道，为这一切，神必审问你。

“你们要将我这些话存在心里，留在意念中，系在手上作记号，戴在额上作经匣。你们也要将这些话教导你们的儿女，无论坐在家里，行在路上，躺下，起来，都要讲论，又要写在房屋的门框上和你的城门上。这样，你们和你们子孙的日子必在耶和华向你们列祖起誓要给他们的地上得以增多，如天地之长久。

你不可与那地的居民立约，因为他们随从自己的神明行淫；祭他们神明的时候，有人邀请你参加，你就会吃他的祭物。你为你儿子娶他们的女儿为妻，他们的女儿因着随从她们的神明行淫，就引诱你的儿子也随从她们的神明行淫。

反随从自己顽梗的心行事，照他们祖先所教训的随从诸巴力。”

这要在你手上作记号，在你额上作纪念，使耶和华的教导常在你口中，因为耶和华用大能的手将你从埃及领出来。

你们若不听从耶和华—你们神的诫命，偏离我今日所吩咐你们的道，去随从你们所不认识的别神，就必受诅咒。当耶和华—你的神领你进入要得为业的那地，你就要在基利心山上宣布祝福，在以巴路山上宣布诅咒。这二座山岂不是在约旦河的那边，日落的方向，在住亚拉巴的迦南人之地，吉甲的前面，靠近摩利橡树吗？你们过约旦河，进去得耶和华—你们的神所赐你们为业之地；当你们占领它，在那地居住的时候，你们要谨守遵行我今日在你们面前颁布的一切律例典章。”

我今日吩咐你的这些话都要记在心上，也要殷勤教导你的儿女。无论你坐在家里，走在路上，躺下，起来，都要吟诵。要系在手上作记号，戴在额上作经匣；又要写在你房屋的门框上和你的城门上。

你们要谨慎，免得忘记耶和华—你们的神与你们所立的约，为自己雕刻任何形状的偶像，就是耶和华—你神所禁止的，

你们这些淫乱的人哪，岂不知道与世俗为友就是与神为敌吗？所以，凡想要与世俗为友的，就是与神为敌了。

你要谨慎，免得你忘记领你从埃及地为奴之家出来的耶和华。

这样的人听见这诅咒的话，心里还庆幸，说：‘我虽然随着顽固的心行事，却还是平安无事。’以致有水的和无水的都消灭了。

要跟你们的母亲理论，理论，—因为她不是我的妻子，我也不是她的丈夫—叫她除掉脸上的淫相和胸间的淫态，
