爾且聽我、予赫斯怒、盡滅是族、使爾後裔成為大邦、

離此會眾、我將滅之於俄頃、二人俯伏、

耶和華諭摩西曰、告以色列族云、爾乃強項之民、我若俄頃之間臨於爾中、必行翦滅、爾且去其文飾、我思何以待爾、

我又聞有聲自天曰、我民乎、宜出乎彼、免與其罪而受其災、

猝然荒寂、因威烈而滅沒兮、

故我儕既受不震之國、宜感恩而以虔恭寅畏、崇事上帝、為其所悅、蓋我之上帝、乃焚燬之火也、

復以多言證而勸之曰、爾宜自救、脫此邪曲之世也、

我必降疫癘以擊之、絕之於其業、使爾後裔為國、較彼尤大且強、

今爾若殲斯民、如戮一人、嘗聞爾名之國必曰、

及旦、天使促羅得曰、起、挈若妻、暨在此二女、恐因斯邑之罪、共罹滅亡、羅得遲延、二人執其手、與妻及女、咸引之出、置於邑外、蓋耶和華矜之也、既出、謂之曰、爾其遁逃、以全生命、毋返顧、毋止平原、宜避於山、免爾滅亡、羅得曰、主歟、勿爾、僕蒙爾恩、大施仁慈、以全我生、今我不能避於山、恐遭災禍而殞、前有一邑、既小且近、容我遁彼、以全我生、此非蕞爾之區乎、曰、斯事我亦允爾、所言之邑、我不翦滅、汝其速遁於彼、蓋爾未至、吾不能有所為、故其邑名曰瑣珥、○

故曰、爾宜出厥中而自別、勿捫不潔、我則納爾、

勿為人之虛言所欺、緣此、上帝之怒、臨於悖逆之人、故勿與之同羣、
