They quarreled with Moses and said,“ If only we had died when our brothers fell dead before the Lord!

They argued with Moses. They said,“ We wish we had died when our people fell dead in front of the Lord.

And the people quarreled with Moses and said,“ Would that we had perished when our brothers perished before the Lord!

The people blamed Moses and said,“ If only we had died in the Lord’s presence with our brothers!

The people quarreled with Moses and said,“ If only we had perished when our brothers perished before the LORD.

Then the people argued with Moses and spoke, saying,“ If only we had perished when our brothers perished before the Lord!

And the people contended with Moses and spoke, saying:“ If only we had died when our brethren died before the Lord!

So they quarreled with Moses and said,“ Give us water to drink.” Moses replied,“ Why do you quarrel with me? Why do you put the Lord to the test?” (niv)

As soon as he finished saying all this, the ground under them split apartand the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them and their households, and all those associated with Korah, together with their possessions.They went down alive into the realm of the dead, with everything they owned; the earth closed over them, and they perished and were gone from the community.At their cries, all the Israelites around them fled, shouting,“ The earth is going to swallow us too!”And fire came out from the Lord and consumed the 250 men who were offering the incense. (niv)

That night all the members of the community raised their voices and wept aloud.All the Israelites grumbled against Moses and Aaron, and the whole assembly said to them,“ If only we had died in Egypt! Or in this wilderness! (niv)

But 14,700 people died from the plague, in addition to those who had died because of Korah. (niv)

Now the people complained about their hardships in the hearing of the Lord, and when he heard them his anger was aroused. Then fire from the Lord burned among them and consumed some of the outskirts of the camp. (niv)

So the men Moses had sent to explore the land, who returned and made the whole community grumble against him by spreading a bad report about it—these men who were responsible for spreading the bad report about the land were struck down and died of a plague before the Lord. (niv)

But while the meat was still between their teeth and before it could be consumed, the anger of the Lord burned against the people, and he struck them with a severe plague.Therefore the place was named Kibroth Hattaavah, because there they buried the people who had craved other food. (niv)

In the desert the whole community grumbled against Moses and Aaron.The Israelites said to them,“ If only we had died by the Lord’s hand in Egypt! There we sat around pots of meat and ate all the food we wanted, but you have brought us out into this desert to starve this entire assembly to death.” (niv)

for it did not shut the doors of the womb on me to hide trouble from my eyes.“ Why did I not perish at birth, and die as I came from the womb? (niv)

Those killed by the sword are better off than those who die of famine; racked with hunger, they waste away for lack of food from the field. (niv)
