But Israel put him to death with their swords. They took over his land. They took everything from the Arnon River to the Jabbok River. But they didn’t take over any of the land of the Ammonites. That’s because the Ammonites had built strong forts along their border.

And Israel defeated him with the edge of the sword and took possession of his land from the Arnon to the Jabbok, as far as to the Ammonites, for the border of the Ammonites was strong.

But the Israelites slaughtered them with their swords and occupied their land from the Arnon River to the Jabbok River. They went only as far as the Ammonite border because the boundary of the Ammonites was fortified.

你們來到這地方，希實本王西宏和巴珊王噩出來迎擊我們，與我們交戰，我們擊敗了他們，

摩西把亞摩利王西宏的國和巴珊王噩的國，就是他們的國土和周圍的城鎮，都給了迦得子孫和呂便子孫，以及約瑟的兒子瑪拿西半個支派。迦得子孫建造了底本、亞他錄、亞羅珥、亞他錄‧朔反、雅謝、約比哈、伯‧寧拉、伯‧哈蘭，都是堅固城，並築有羊圈。呂便子孫建造了希實本、以利亞利、基列亭、尼波、巴力‧免（名字是改了的）、西比瑪；他們給建造的城另起別名。瑪拿西的兒子瑪吉的子孫往基列去，佔了那地，趕出那裏的亞摩利人。摩西把基列賜給瑪拿西的兒子瑪吉，他就住在那裏。瑪拿西的子孫睚珥佔了基列的城鎮，就稱這些城鎮為哈倭特‧睚珥。挪巴佔了基納和基納的鄉鎮，就照自己的名字稱基納為挪巴。

我給了呂便人和迦得人從基列到亞嫩谷，以谷的中央為界，直到亞捫人邊界的雅博河；

從那裏再起行，安營在亞嫩河的另一邊。這亞嫩河在曠野，從亞摩利人的境內流出來；亞嫩河是摩押的邊界，在摩押和亞摩利人之間。

以及他向約旦河東的兩個亞摩利王，希實本王西宏和在亞斯她錄的巴珊王噩所做的一切。

以法蓮人被召來，渡河來到撒分。他們對耶弗他說：「你去與亞捫人爭戰，為甚麼沒有召我們同去呢？我們必用火將你和你的家燒了。」耶弗他對他們說：「我和我的百姓與亞捫人有極大的衝突；我曾召你們來，你們卻沒有來救我脫離他們的手。

耶和華－以色列的神將西宏和他的眾百姓都交在以色列手中，以色列人就擊殺他們，佔領了那地居民亞摩利人的全地。他們佔領了亞摩利人所有的疆土，從亞嫩河到雅博河，從曠野直到約旦河。耶和華－以色列的神如今從他百姓以色列面前趕出亞摩利人，你竟要佔領它嗎？

他擊打許多國家，殺戮大能的君王，就是亞摩利王西宏、巴珊王噩，和迦南一切的國度，他賞賜他們的地為業，作為自己百姓以色列的產業。

呂便、迦得二支派已經和瑪拿西另外半個支派得了產業，就是耶和華的僕人摩西在約旦河東所賜給他們的：從亞嫩谷邊的亞羅珥和谷中之城，米底巴的整個平原，直到底本；還有在希實本作王的亞摩利王西宏的諸城，直到亞捫人的邊界；

耶和華對我說：『看，我已開始把西宏和他的地交給你了，你要開始得他的地為業。』「西宏和他的眾百姓出來迎擊我們，在雅雜與我們交戰。耶和華－我們的神把他交給我們，我們就殺了他和他的眾兒子，以及他所有的百姓。那時，我們奪了他一切的城鎮，毀滅各城的男人、女人、孩子，沒有留下一個倖存者。只有牲畜和所奪各城的財物，我們都取為自己的掠物。從亞嫩谷旁的亞羅珥和谷中的城，直到基列，沒有一座城是高得我們不能攻取的；耶和華－我們的神把它們全都交給我們了。只有亞捫人之地，雅博河沿岸，以及山區的城鎮，你沒有挨近，這全是耶和華－我們神所吩咐的。」
