“ Let the LORD, the God of the spirits of all humankind, appoint a man over the community,

『願永恆主萬人之靈的上帝立一個人來治理會眾，

請耶和華、世人諸神之上帝、簡立一人、統轄會眾、

耶和華上帝乎、爾以生氣賜於億兆、請立一人、統轄會眾、

天主耶和華、賜生氣於一切身軀者、或作天主耶和華賜生命於凡有血氣者求立一人治理此會、

“ May the Lord, the God who gives breath to all living things, appoint someone over this community

“ Lord, you are the God who gives life and breath to all living things. Please put someone in charge of this community.

“ Let the Lord, the God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the congregation

“ O Lord, you are the God who gives breath to all creatures. Please appoint a new man as leader for the community.

“ May the LORD, the God who gives breath to all, appoint a man over the community

“ May the Lord, the God of the spirits of humanity, appoint a man over the congregation,

“ Let the Lord, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation,

Let Jehovah, the God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the congregation,

“ May the Lord, the God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the community

Let the LORD, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation,

“ Let Yahweh, the God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the congregation,

Then they threw themselves down with their faces to the ground and said,“ O God, the God of the spirits of all people, will you be angry with the whole community when only one man sins?”

Besides, we have experienced discipline from our earthly fathers and we respected them; shall we not submit ourselves all the more to the Father of spirits and receive life?

“‘ For this is what the sovereign LORD says: Look, I myself will search for my sheep and seek them out.As a shepherd seeks out his flock when he is among his scattered sheep, so I will seek out my flock. I will rescue them from all the places where they have been scattered on a cloudy, dark day.I will bring them out from among the peoples and gather them from foreign countries; I will bring them to their own land. I will feed them on the mountains of Israel, by the streams and all the inhabited places of the land.In a good pasture I will feed them; the mountain heights of Israel will be their pasture. There they will lie down in a lush pasture, and they will feed on rich grass on the mountains of Israel.I myself will feed my sheep and I myself will make them lie down, declares the sovereign LORD.I will seek the lost and bring back the strays; I will bandage the injured and strengthen the sick, but the fat and the strong I will destroy. I will feed them– with judgment!

Therefore ask the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest.”

So I have decided to build a temple to honor the LORD my God, as the LORD instructed my father David,‘ Your son, whom I will put on your throne in your place, is the one who will build a temple to honor me.’

“ I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.

Watch out for yourselves and for all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God that he obtained with the blood of his own Son.

Now look! Here is the king you have chosen– the one that you asked for! Look, the LORD has given you a king!

I will give you leaders who will be faithful to me. They will lead you with knowledge and insight.

Give a shepherd’s care to God’s flock among you, exercising oversight not merely as a duty but willingly under God’s direction, not for shameful profit but eagerly.And do not lord it over those entrusted to you, but be examples to the flock.Then when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that never fades away.

“‘ My servant David will be king over them; there will be one shepherd for all of them. They will follow my regulations and carefully observe my statutes.

I will set one shepherd over them, and he will feed them– namely, my servant David. He will feed them and will be their shepherd.

I will install rulers over them who will care for them. Then they will no longer need to fear or be terrified. None of them will turn up missing. I, the LORD, promise it!“ I, the LORD, promise that a new time will certainly come when I will raise up for them a righteous branch, a descendant of David. He will rule over them with wisdom and understanding and will do what is just and right in the land.

Then the LORD said to Moses,“ The day of your death is near. Summon Joshua and present yourselves in the tent of meeting so that I can commission him.” So Moses and Joshua presented themselves in the tent of meeting.
