He is to stand before Eleazar the priest, who will obtain decisions for him by inquiring of the Urim before the Lord. At his command he and the entire community of the Israelites will go out, and at his command they will come in.”

Joshua will stand in front of Eleazar the priest. Eleazar will help him make decisions. Eleazar will get help from me by using the Urim. Joshua and the whole community of Israel must not make any move at all unless I command them to.”

And he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall inquire for him by the judgment of the Urim before the Lord. At his word they shall go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he and all the people of Israel with him, the whole congregation.”

Of course not! Let not the king accuse your servant or any of his father’s family, for your servant knows nothing at all about this whole affair.” (niv)

The Israelites went up and wept before the Lord until evening, and they inquired of the Lord. They said,“ Shall we go up again to fight against the Benjamites, our fellow Israelites?” The Lord answered,“ Go up against them.” (niv)

About Levi he said:“ Your Thummim and Urim belong to your faithful servant. You tested him at Massah; you contended with him at the waters of Meribah. (niv)

When David learned that Saul was plotting against him, he said to Abiathar the priest,“ Bring the ephod.” (niv)

The Israelites went up to Bethel and inquired of God. They said,“ Who of us is to go up first to fight against the Benjamites?” The Lord replied,“ Judah shall go first.” (niv)

After the death of Joshua, the Israelites asked the Lord,“ Who of us is to go up first to fight against the Canaanites?” (niv)

Then all the Israelites, the whole army, went up to Bethel, and there they sat weeping before the Lord. They fasted that day until evening and presented burnt offerings and fellowship offerings to the Lord.And the Israelites inquired of the Lord.( In those days the ark of the covenant of God was there,with Phinehas son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron, ministering before it.) They asked,“ Shall we go up again to fight against the Benjamites, our fellow Israelites, or not?” The Lord responded,“ Go, for tomorrow I will give them into your hands.” (niv)

He placed the breastpiece on him and put the Urim and Thummim in the breastpiece. (niv)
