“‘ On the first day of the seventh month, you are to hold a holy assembly. You must not do your ordinary work, for it is a day of blowing trumpets for you.

“‘ On the first day of the seventh month hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work. It is a day for you to sound the trumpets.

“‘ On the first day of the seventh month, come together for a special service. Do not do any regular work. Blow the trumpets on that day.

“ On the first day of the seventh month you shall have a holy convocation. You shall not do any ordinary work. It is a day for you to blow the trumpets,

“ Celebrate the Festival of Trumpets each year on the first day of the appointed month in early autumn. You must call an official day for holy assembly, and you may do no ordinary work.

“ You are to hold a sacred assembly in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, and you are not to do any daily work. This will be a day of trumpet blasts for you.

‘ Now in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have a holy assembly; you shall do no laborious work. It will be to you a day for blowing trumpets.

‘ And in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have a holy convocation. You shall do no customary work. For you it is a day of blowing the trumpets.

And in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, ye shall have a holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work: it is a day of blowing of trumpets unto you.

“ You are to hold a sacred assembly in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, and you are not to do any daily work. This will be a day of joyful shouting for you.

And in the seventh month, on the first[ day] of the month, ye shall have an holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work: it is a day of blowing the trumpets unto you.

“‘ In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have a holy convocation; you shall do no regular work. It is a day of blowing of trumpets to you.

“ Tell the Israelites,‘ In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you must have a complete rest, a memorial announced by loud horn blasts, a holy assembly.You must not do any regular work, but you must present a gift to the LORD.’”

The LORD spoke to Moses:“ Make two trumpets of silver; you are to make them from a single hammered piece. You will use them for assembling the community and for directing the traveling of the camps.When they blow them both, all the community must come to you to the entrance of the tent of meeting.“ But if they blow with one trumpet, then the leaders, the heads of the thousands of Israel, must come to you.When you blow an alarm, then the camps that are located on the east side must begin to travel.And when you blow an alarm the second time, then the camps that are located on the south side must begin to travel. An alarm must be sounded for their journeys.But when you assemble the community, you must blow, but you must not sound an alarm.The sons of Aaron, the priests, must blow the trumpets; and they will be to you for an eternal ordinance throughout your generations.If you go to war in your land against an adversary who opposes you, then you must sound an alarm with the trumpets, and you will be remembered before the LORD your God, and you will be saved from your enemies.“ Also in the time when you rejoice, such as on your appointed festivals or at the beginnings of your months, you must blow with your trumpets over your burnt offerings and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings, so that they may become a memorial for you before your God: I am the LORD your God.”

How blessed are the people who worship you! O LORD, they experience your favor.

How are they to call on one they have not believed in? And how are they to believe in one they have not heard of? And how are they to hear without someone preaching to them?And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written,“ How timely is the arrival of those who proclaim the good news.”But not all have obeyed the good news, for Isaiah says,“ Lord, who has believed our report?”Consequently faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the preached word of Christ.But I ask, have they not heard? Yes, they have: Their voice has gone out to all the earth, and their words to the ends of the world.

From the first day of the seventh month they began to offer burnt offerings to the LORD. However, the LORD’s temple was not at that time established.

He said to them,“ Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.The one who believes and is baptized will be saved, but the one who does not believe will be condemned.

The priests, the Levites, the gatekeepers, the singers, some of the people, the temple servants, and all the rest of Israel lived in their cities. When the seventh month arrived and the Israelites were settled in their cities,

All Israel brought up the ark of the LORD’s covenant; they were shouting, blowing trumpets, sounding cymbals, and playing stringed instruments.

Sound the ram’s horn on the day of the new moon, and on the day of the full moon when our festival begins.

Then the LORD will appear above them, and his arrow will shoot forth like lightning; the Lord GOD will blow the trumpet and will sally forth on the southern storm winds.

At that time a large trumpet will be blown, and the ones lost in the land of Assyria will come, as well as the refugees in the land of Egypt. They will worship the LORD on the holy mountain in Jerusalem.

to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles. I serve the gospel of God like a priest, so that the Gentiles may become an acceptable offering, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.So I boast in Christ Jesus about the things that pertain to God.For I will not dare to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me in order to bring about the obedience of the Gentiles, by word and deed,in the power of signs and wonders, in the power of the Spirit of God. So from Jerusalem even as far as Illyricum I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.
