“‘ On the fifteenth day of the seventh month, hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work. Celebrate a festival to the Lord for seven days.

“‘ On the 15th day of the seventh month, come together for a special service. Do not do any regular work. Celebrate the Feast of Booths for seven days to honor the Lord.

“ On the fifteenth day of the seventh month you shall have a holy convocation. You shall not do any ordinary work, and you shall keep a feast to the Lord seven days.

“ Five days later, on the fifteenth day of the same month, you must call another holy assembly of all the people, and you may do no ordinary work on that day. It is the beginning of the Festival of Shelters, a seven day festival to the Lord.

“ You are to hold a sacred assembly on the fifteenth day of the seventh month; you do not do any daily work. You are to celebrate a seven-day festival for the LORD.

‘ Then on the fifteenth day of the seventh month you shall have a holy assembly; you shall do no laborious work, and you shall celebrate with a feast to the Lord for seven days.

來攻耶路撒冷之列邦人、其中所遺者、每歲必上、耶路撒冷、崇拜大君萬有之主、守居廬節、天下萬族、不上耶路撒冷崇拜大君萬有之主、必無雨降於其地、如伊及族不上不至、雨必不降於其地、列邦人、凡不上而守居廬節者、主必降以如斯之災、伊及人、列邦人、凡不上而守居廬節者、必受斯罰、

自首日至末日、以斯拉日日誦讀天主律法之書、民眾守節期歷七日、至八日有大會、循其常例、

爾所種之禾稼、成熟刈穫之時、亦為一節、百穀從田間收藏、年終之時、亦為一節、

夫道成肉軀、居於我儕間、我儕見其榮、誠如父獨生子之榮、充滿恩寵真理、

麥秋之初、當守七七節期、百穀收藏歲終之時、亦當守節期、

主諭摩西曰、爾告以色列人云、此七月十五日、為居廬節、當於主前守節期七日、首日當有聖會、無論何工、悉毋作、七日間、當獻火祭於主、第八日亦當有聖會、當於主前獻火祭、是為大會之日、無論何工、悉毋作、此乃主之節期、爾當宣告為聖會、獻祭於主、即火焚祭、素祭、平安祭、並奠酒、各日獻所當獻、各日奠所當奠、此節期所獻之祭、即在主安息日所當獻之外、在爾獻於主禮物之外、償願之外、樂獻之外、七月十五日、爾斂藏土之所產既畢、當守主之節期、共守七日、首日為安息日、第八日亦為安息日、首日當取嘉木之果、巴勒瑪樹條、茂密之樹枝、溪旁之柳、於爾天主耶和華前歡樂七日、每歲七月、當於主前守此節期七日、是為爾歷代永定之例、七日當居廬、凡以色列土著、皆當居廬、俾爾歷代子孫得知我導以色列人出伊及時、曾使之居廬、我乃主爾之天主、

適見律法書載主命摩西云、以色列人、當在七月節期居於廬、

彼有信而為旅於天主所許之地、如在異邦、居於幕、與後蒙應許之以撒雅各同、希望天主所經營建造有基之邑、撒拉有信、雖過生育之期、尚能懷妊生子、因彼以應許者為可信、故由一人、身若已死者、生育蕃衍、如天星之眾、如海沙之無數、此皆至死有信而未得所許者、惟遙望之、即欣喜以待、自謂在世為客旅、為寄居者、
