七個祭司要拿七個羊角走在約櫃前。到第七日，你們要繞城七次，祭司也要吹角。他們吹的角聲拖長，你們聽見角聲，眾百姓要大聲呼喊，城牆就必塌陷，各人都要往前直上。」嫩的兒子約書亞召了祭司來，吩咐他們說：「你們擡起約櫃來，要有七個祭司拿七個羊角走在耶和華的約櫃前」； (cunpt)

七個祭司拿七個羊角在耶和華的約櫃前，時常行走吹角；帶兵器的在他們前面走，後隊隨着耶和華的約櫃行。祭司一面走一面吹。第二日，眾人把城繞了一次，就回營裏去。六日都是這樣行。第七日清早，黎明的時候，他們起來，照樣繞城七次；惟獨這日把城繞了七次。 (cunpt)

那時神的約櫃在以色列人那裏。掃羅對亞希亞說：「你將神的約櫃運了來。」 (cunpt)

祭司亞倫的孫子，以利亞撒的兒子非尼哈看見了，就從會中起來，手裏拿着槍，跟隨那以色列人進亭子裏去，便將以色列人和那女人由腹中刺透。這樣，在以色列人中瘟疫就止息了。那時遭瘟疫死的，有二萬四千人。耶和華曉諭摩西說：「祭司亞倫的孫子，以利亞撒的兒子非尼哈，使我向以色列人所發的怒消了；因他在他們中間，以我的忌邪為心，使我不在忌邪中把他們除滅。因此，你要說：『我將我平安的約賜給他。這約要給他和他的後裔，作為永遠當祭司職任的約；因他為神有忌邪的心，為以色列人贖罪。』」 (cunpt)
