瑪拿西那半支派和呂便、迦得二支派已經受了產業，就是耶和華的僕人摩西在約旦河東所賜給他們的：

在那些日子，耶和華才割裂以色列國，使哈薛攻擊以色列的境界，乃是約旦河東、基列全地，從靠近亞嫩谷邊的亞羅珥起，就是基列和巴珊的迦得人、呂便人、瑪拿西人之地。

你們的妻子、孩子，和牲畜都可以留在約旦河東、摩西所給你們的地；但你們中間一切大能的勇士都要帶着兵器在你們的弟兄前面過去，幫助他們，等到耶和華使你們的弟兄像你們一樣得享平安，並且得着耶和華－你們神所賜他們為業之地，那時才可以回你們所得之地，承受為業，就是耶和華的僕人摩西在約旦河東、向日出之地所給你們的。」

他們得罪了他們列祖的神，隨從那地之民的神行邪淫；這民就是神在他們面前所除滅的。故此，以色列的神激動亞述王普勒和亞述王提革拉‧毗列色的心，他們就把呂便人、迦得人、瑪拿西半支派的人擄到哈臘、哈博、哈拉與歌散河邊，直到今日還在那裏。

又把亞伯蘭的姪兒羅得和羅得的財物擄掠去了。當時羅得正住在所多瑪。

我們要帶兵器，在耶和華面前過去，進入迦南地，只是約旦河這邊、我們所得為業之地仍歸我們。」摩西將亞摩利王西宏的國和巴珊王噩的國，連那地和周圍的城邑，都給了迦得子孫和呂便子孫，並約瑟的兒子瑪拿西半個支派。

以色列王比加年間，亞述王提革拉‧毗列色來奪了以雲、亞伯‧伯‧瑪迦、亞挪、基低斯、夏瑣、基列、加利利，和拿弗他利全地，將這些地方的居民都擄到亞述去了。

起初速得的產業，終久卻不為福。

以色列人在約旦河外向日出之地擊殺二王，得他們的地，就是從亞嫩谷直到黑門山，並東邊的全亞拉巴之地。這二王，有住希實本、亞摩利人的王西宏。他所管之地是從亞嫩谷邊的亞羅珥和谷中的城，並基列一半，直到亞捫人的境界，雅博河與約旦河東邊的亞拉巴，直到基尼烈海，又到亞拉巴的海，就是鹽海，通伯‧耶西末的路，以及南方，直到毗斯迦的山根。又有巴珊王噩。他是利乏音人所剩下的，住在亞斯他錄和以得來。他所管之地是黑門山、撒迦、巴珊全地，直到基述人和瑪迦人的境界，並基列一半，直到希實本王西宏的境界。這二王是耶和華僕人摩西和以色列人所擊殺的；耶和華僕人摩西將他們的地賜給呂便人、迦得人，和瑪拿西半支派的人為業。

羅得舉目看見約旦河的全平原，直到瑣珥，都是滋潤的，那地在耶和華未滅所多瑪、蛾摩拉以先如同耶和華的園子，也像埃及地。於是羅得選擇約旦河的全平原，往東遷移；他們就彼此分離了。亞伯蘭住在迦南地，羅得住在平原的城邑，漸漸挪移帳棚，直到所多瑪。

這兩個半支派已經在耶利哥對面、約旦河東、向日出之地受了產業。」
