瑪拿西半個支派和呂便、迦得兩支派已經得到耶和華的僕人摩西在約旦河東分給他們的產業：

要等到你們的上帝耶和華使你們的弟兄像你們一樣得到祂所賜的土地，安居以後，你們才可以回到約旦河東，在耶和華的僕人摩西分給你們的土地上定居。」

約書亞能一鼓作氣殺敗諸王，征服他們的土地，都是因為有以色列的上帝耶和華為以色列人爭戰。

征服了這些地方以後，以色列全體會眾都聚集在示羅，把會幕設立在那裡。

約書亞照耶和華對摩西的指示，奪取整個地區，把土地按照支派分給以色列人作產業。於是境內國泰民安，沒有戰事了。

「我們佔領了這片土地後，我把亞嫩谷邊的亞羅珥以北地區和基列山區的一半及其城邑，分給呂便支派和迦得支派，把基列山區的另一半，以及噩的王國巴珊全境——整個亞珥歌伯分給瑪拿西半個支派。巴珊地區又被稱為利乏音人之地。瑪拿西的子孫雅珥得到亞珥歌伯全境，遠至基述人和瑪迦人的邊界。他按自己的名字給那地方取名叫哈倭特·雅珥，沿用至今。我又把基列分給瑪吉，把從基列到亞嫩谷，以谷中央為界，遠至亞捫人的邊界雅博河地區分給呂便支派和迦得支派。我還把亞拉巴，就是以約旦河為界，從基尼烈直到東面毗斯迦山腳的亞拉巴海，即鹽海地區給了他們。「那時我吩咐他們，『你們的上帝耶和華已經把這些地方賜給你們，但你們所有的戰士必須帶著兵器過河，做同胞的先鋒。

倘若有人因離開這房子跑到街上而遭遇不測，我們不負任何責任。我們一定保證屋內所有人的性命安全。

從他們面前趕出外族人，把外族人的土地分給他們，作為他們的產業，使以色列各支派安頓下來。

上帝啊，我們親耳聽過祖先講述你在古時，在我們祖先時代的作為。你親手趕出外族，把我們的祖先安置在那裡；你擊潰列邦，使我們的祖先興旺發達。他們不是靠自己的刀劍征服那裡，不是靠自己的臂膀得勝，而是靠你的權能、力量和恩惠，因為你愛他們。你是我的君王，我的上帝；你讓雅各得勝。

以下是摩西按宗族分給瑪拿西半個支派的土地：從瑪哈念開始，包括整個巴珊，就是巴珊王噩的國土及其境內雅珥的六十座城邑，還有基列的一半和巴珊王噩的兩座城——亞斯她錄和以得來。瑪拿西的兒子瑪吉的一半子孫按宗族分到這些土地。以上是摩西在耶利哥對面約旦河東的摩押平原分給以色列人的產業。

大衛聽到消息就說：「耶和華作證，我和我的人民永遠跟尼珥的兒子押尼珥的死無關。

耶和華將立拿城和立拿王交在以色列人手中，他們殺了全城的人，一個沒留。他們對待立拿王跟以前對待耶利哥王一樣。
