the land the Lord subdued before the people of Israel— are suitable for livestock, and your servants have livestock.

All of them are in the land the Lord has brought under Israel’s control. This land is just right for livestock. And we have livestock.

The Lord has conquered this whole area for the community of Israel, and it is ideally suited for all our livestock.

你們起來往前去，過亞嫩谷。看，我已將亞摩利人希實本王西宏和他的地交在你手中，你要開始去得他的地為業，向他挑戰。從今日起，我要讓天下萬民驚慌懼怕你，聽見你的名聲，就因你發顫傷慟。」「我從基底莫的曠野派遣使者到希實本王西宏那裏，用和平的話說：『求你讓我穿越你的地，我走路的時候，只走大路，不偏左右。你可以賣糧給我吃，賣水給我喝；只要讓我步行過去，就如住在西珥的以掃子孫和住在亞珥的摩押人待我一樣，等我過了約旦河，進入耶和華－我們神所賜給我們的地。』但希實本王西宏不肯讓我們從他那裏經過，因為耶和華－你的神使他性情頑梗，內心剛硬，為要把他交在你手中，像今日一樣。耶和華對我說：『看，我已開始把西宏和他的地交給你了，你要開始得他的地為業。』「西宏和他的眾百姓出來迎擊我們，在雅雜與我們交戰。耶和華－我們的神把他交給我們，我們就殺了他和他的眾兒子，以及他所有的百姓。那時，我們奪了他一切的城鎮，毀滅各城的男人、女人、孩子，沒有留下一個倖存者。只有牲畜和所奪各城的財物，我們都取為自己的掠物。
