永恆主使埃及王法老的心頑強，法老就追趕以色列人，以色列人卻以高舉的手出來了。

你們出去、是在亞筆月這一日出去的。

以色列人從蘭塞起行，往疏割去；除了弱小的以外，步行的男丁約有六十萬。

那衝破缺口者必在他們前面上去；他們必衝破缺口、闖過城門，從城門出去；他們的王領他們在前面過去，永恆主引導他們在前頭行。

你們出來、不必慌慌張張，不必奔逃而行，因為永恆主必在你們前頭領導；以色列的上帝必做你們的後衛。

他們出來時，埃及人很歡喜；因為埃及人很懼怕。

約瑟就照法老所吩咐的叫他父親和弟兄住下，將埃及地、那地最好的區域、蘭塞地、給他們做產業。

『這一個月要做你們的正月，做你們一年中的頭一個月。

於是埃及人設立了苦工頭目來轄制他們，用重擔苦害他們；他們就為法老建造貯藏城、比東和蘭塞。
