倘若你們不把那地的居民從你們面前趕出去，那留下的居民就必成為你們眼中的刺，肋下的荊棘，也必在你們所住的地上擾亂你們；

倘若你们不赶出那地的居民，所容留的居民就必作你们眼中的刺，肋下的荆棘，也必在你们所住的地上扰害你们。

倘若你们不把那地的居民从你们面前赶出去，那留下的居民就必成为你们眼中的刺，肋下的荆棘，也必在你们所住的地上扰乱你们；

倘若你们不把那地的居民从你们面前赶出去，那留下的居民就必成为你们眼中的刺，肋下的荆棘，也必在你们所住的地上扰乱你们；

如果你们不赶走那里的居民，留下来的人必成为你们眼里的刺和肋旁的荆棘，在你们所居之地搅扰你们，

如果你们不把那地的居民从你们面前赶出去，所留下的人就必成为你们眼中的刺，肋旁的荆棘，在你们所住的地方扰害你们；

倘若你們不趕出那地的居民，所容留的居民就必作你們眼中的刺，肋下的荊棘，也必在你們所住的地上擾害你們。

倘若你們不把那地的居民從你們面前趕出去，那留下的居民就必成為你們眼中的刺，肋下的荊棘，也必在你們所住的地上擾亂你們；

如果你們不趕走那裡的居民，留下來的人必成為你們眼裡的刺和肋旁的荊棘，在你們所居之地攪擾你們，

如果你們不把那地的居民從你們面前趕出去，所留下的人就必成為你們眼中的刺，肋旁的荊棘，在你們所住的地方擾害你們；

你們若不把那地的居民從你們面前趕出去，你們所讓存留的人就會成了你們眼中的刺、肋下的荊棘，也會在你們所住的地擾害你們。

斯土之民、爾不驅逐、則爾所遺者、必為爾目中之刺、脇下之棘、擾爾於所居之地、

斯土之眾、爾不驅逐、則其遺民、必為爾目中之刺、肘下之棘、困苦爾於此。

若爾不驅逐斯地之居民、爾所存留者、必為爾目中之荊、脇下之刺、必擾害爾於爾所居之地、

“‘ But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land, those you allow to remain will become barbs in your eyes and thorns in your sides. They will give you trouble in the land where you will live.

“‘ But suppose you do not drive out the people living in the land. Then those you allow to remain there will become like needles in your eyes. They will become like thorns in your sides. They will give you trouble in the land where you will live.

But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you, then those of them whom you let remain shall be as barbs in your eyes and thorns in your sides, and they shall trouble you in the land where you dwell.

But if you fail to drive out the people who live in the land, those who remain will be like splinters in your eyes and thorns in your sides. They will harass you in the land where you live.

But if you don’t drive out the inhabitants of the land before you, those you allow to remain will become barbs for your eyes and thorns for your sides; they will harass you in the land where you will live.

But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land from you, then it will come about that those whom you let remain of them will be like thorns in your eyes and like pricks in your sides, and they will trouble you in the land in which you live.

But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you, then it shall be that those whom you let remain shall be irritants in your eyes and thorns in your sides, and they shall harass you in the land where you dwell.

But if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you, then shall those that ye let remain of them be as pricks in your eyes, and as thorns in your sides, and they shall vex you in the land wherein ye dwell.

因此我說：『我必不將他們從你們面前趕出。他們必作你們肋下的荊棘，他們的神明必成為你們的圈套。』」

他們不照耶和華所吩咐的滅絕外邦人，反倒與列國相交，學習他們的行為，事奉他們的偶像，這就成了自己的圈套。

你們若斷然轉離，緊緊跟隨你們中間所剩下的這些國家，彼此結親，互相往來，就要確實知道，耶和華－你們的神必不再將他們從你們面前趕出；他們卻要成為你們的羅網、圈套、肋上的鞭、眼中的刺，直到你們在耶和華－你們神所賜的這美地上滅亡。

你要吞滅耶和華－你的神交給你的各民族，你的眼目不可顧惜他們。你也不可事奉他們的神明，因為這必成為你的圈套。

他們不可住在你的地上，免得他們使你得罪我。你若事奉他們的神明，必成為你的圈套。」

因為他必使你的兒女離棄我，去事奉別神，以致耶和華的怒氣向你們發作，迅速將你除滅。

至於住耶路撒冷的耶布斯人，便雅憫人沒有把他們趕出。於是，耶布斯人與便雅憫人同住在耶路撒冷，直到今日。約瑟家也上到伯特利去，耶和華與他們同在。約瑟家去窺探伯特利，那城起先名叫路斯。探子看見一個人從城裏出來，就對他說：「請你把進城的路指示我們，我們會厚待你。」那人把進城的路指示他們。他們就用刀擊殺了城中的居民，卻放走那人和他的全家。那人往赫人之地去，建造了一座城，起名叫路斯。那城到如今還叫這名。瑪拿西沒有趕出伯‧善和所屬鄉鎮的居民，他納和所屬鄉鎮的居民，多珥和所屬鄉鎮的居民，以伯蓮和所屬鄉鎮的居民，米吉多和所屬鄉鎮的居民；迦南人仍堅持住在這地。以色列強盛的時候，就叫迦南人做苦工，沒有把他們全然趕走。以法蓮沒有趕出住基色的迦南人。於是迦南人仍住在基色，在以法蓮中間。西布倫沒有趕出基倫的居民和拿哈拉的居民。於是迦南人仍住在西布倫中間，成了服勞役的人。亞設沒有趕出亞柯的居民和西頓的居民，以及亞黑拉、亞革悉、黑巴、亞弗革和利合的居民。亞設人因為沒有趕出那地的居民迦南人，就住在他們中間。拿弗他利沒有趕出伯‧示麥和伯‧亞納的居民。於是拿弗他利就住在那地的居民迦南人中，而伯‧示麥和伯‧亞納的居民卻成了為他們服勞役的人。亞摩利人強逼但人住在山區，不准他們下到平原。亞摩利人仍堅持住在希烈山、亞雅崙和沙賓；然而約瑟家權勢強盛的時候，他們成為服勞役的人。亞摩利人的地界是從亞克拉濱斜坡，從西拉延伸而上。

「四圍恨惡以色列家的人，對他們必不再如刺人的荊棘，傷人的蒺藜；他們就知道我是主耶和華。」
