When the camp is to move, Aaron and his sons are to go in and take down the shielding curtain and put it over the ark of the covenant law.

When the camp is ready to move, Aaron and his sons must go into the tent. They must take down the curtain that hides the ark where the tablets of the covenant law are kept. They must cover the ark with the curtain.

When the camp is to set out, Aaron and his sons shall go in and take down the veil of the screen and cover the ark of the testimony with it.

When the camp moves, Aaron and his sons must enter the Tabernacle first to take down the inner curtain and cover the Ark of the Covenant with it.

凡屬呂便營，照他們隊伍被數的共有十五萬一千四百五十名；他們要作第二隊往前行。「會幕與利未營在諸營中間往前行。他們怎樣安營就怎樣往前行，各按本位，各歸本旗。

大衛起身，和跟隨他的眾百姓前往，要從巴拉‧猶大那裏將神的約櫃接上來；這約櫃是以坐在二基路伯上萬軍之耶和華的名所命名的。他們將神的約櫃從山岡上亞比拿達的家裏抬出來，放在新車上；亞比拿達的兒子烏撒和亞希約趕這新車。他們將神的約櫃從山岡上亞比拿達家裏抬出來，亞希約在約櫃前行走。大衛和以色列全家在耶和華面前，隨着松木製造的各樣樂器和琴、瑟、鼓、鈸、鑼跳舞。到了拿艮的禾場，因為牛失前蹄，烏撒就伸手扶住神的約櫃。耶和華的怒氣向烏撒發作；神因這冒犯在那裏擊打他，他就死在那裏，在神的約櫃旁。大衛因耶和華突然衝出撞死烏撒就生氣，稱那地方為毗列斯‧烏撒，直到今日。那日，大衛懼怕耶和華，說：「耶和華的約櫃怎可到我這裏來呢？」

屬哥轄的有暗蘭族、以斯哈族、希伯倫族、烏薛族，他們是哥轄人的宗族。一個月以上所有男子的數目共有八千六百名；他們負責看守聖所。哥轄子孫的宗族要在帳幕的南邊安營。哥轄人父家宗族的領袖是烏薛的兒子以利撒反。他們要看守的是約櫃、供桌、燈臺、祭壇、香壇、祭司在聖所內用的器皿、簾子，與一切相關事奉的物件。亞倫祭司的兒子以利亞撒是利未人眾領袖的主管，他要監督那些負責看守聖所的人。

「他們要用金合歡木做一個櫃子，長二肘半，寬一肘半，高一肘半。你要把它裏裏外外包上純金，四圍要鑲上金邊。要鑄造四個金環，安在櫃子的四腳上；這邊兩個環，那邊兩個環。要用金合歡木做兩根槓，包上金子。要把槓穿過櫃旁的環，以便抬櫃。這槓要留在櫃的環內，不可抽出來。要把我所要賜給你的法版放在櫃裏。要用純金做一個櫃蓋，長二肘半，寬一肘半。要造兩個用金子錘出的基路伯，從櫃蓋的兩端錘出它們。這端錘出一個基路伯，那端錘出一個基路伯；從櫃蓋的兩端錘出兩個基路伯。二基路伯的翅膀要向上張開，用翅膀遮住櫃蓋，臉要彼此相對；基路伯的臉要朝向櫃蓋。要把櫃蓋安在櫃的上邊，又要把我所要賜給你的法版放在櫃裏。我要在那裏與你相會，並要從法版之櫃的櫃蓋上，兩個基路伯的中間，將我要吩咐以色列人的一切事告訴你。」

把法櫃安放在裏面，用幔子將櫃遮掩。
