If she has made herself impure and been unfaithful to her husband, this will be the result: When she is made to drink the water that brings a curse and causes bitter suffering, it will enter her, her abdomen will swell and her womb will miscarry, and she will become a curse.

Suppose she has made herself“ unclean.” She has not been faithful to her husband. And she has drunk the water that brings a curse. Then it will go into her body. It will cause her to suffer bitterly. It will make her body unable to have children. She will become a curse.

And when he has made her drink the water, then, if she has defiled herself and has broken faith with her husband, the water that brings the curse shall enter into her and cause bitter pain, and her womb shall swell, and her thigh shall fall away, and the woman shall become a curse among her people.

我要毀滅那些執意去埃及住的猶大餘民。他們必死於戰爭和饑荒，無論尊卑無一倖免。他們的下場將很可怕，成了被人責罵、咒詛和羞辱的對象。

被擄到巴比倫的猶大人咒詛人的時候會說，「願耶和華使你的下場像被巴比倫王燒死的西底迦和亞哈一樣！」

我的選民必用你們的名字作咒詛，主耶和華必殺死你們，給祂的僕人另起名字。

「在耶和華驅逐你們去的列國，你們的下場將很可怕，受盡嘲笑和譏諷。

使他們的遭遇令天下萬國驚懼。在我流放他們去的地方，他們必受凌辱、嘲笑、譏諷和咒詛。

我發現有的婦人比死亡更苦毒，她是個陷阱，心如網羅，手像鎖鏈。敬畏上帝的人避開她，罪人卻被她俘虜。

求你對付他們，如同對付米甸人和基順河邊的西西拉與耶賓。他們在隱·多珥滅亡，成了地上的糞土。求你使他們的首領得到俄立和西伊伯那樣的下場，使他們的王侯得到西巴和撒慕拿那樣的下場。

如果你曾出軌，背著丈夫與人通姦，

因為我們知道了真理以後，若仍然故意犯罪，就再沒有贖罪祭了，只有可怕的審判和燒滅敵對者的烈火等候我們。人違犯摩西的律法，經兩三個人指證後，尚且被毫不留情地處死，更何況人踐踏上帝的兒子，輕看那使人聖潔的立約之血，又藐視賜人恩典的聖靈？這等人該受多麼重的刑罰啊！我們知道上帝說過：「伸冤在我，我必報應。」祂又說：「主要審判祂的百姓。」

做了現在想起來也覺得羞恥的事，得到了什麼益處呢？那些事只能導致死亡！

對滅亡的人而言，這香氣是叫人死亡的香氣；對得救的人來說，這香氣卻是叫人得生命的香氣。誰能擔當這樣的重任呢？

尤其是那些放縱污穢的情慾、輕視權柄的人。他們膽大妄為，肆無忌憚地毀謗有尊榮的。

最後卻苦如艾草，鋒利似雙刃劍。她的雙腳走進死地，她的步伐邁向陰間。她不走生命的康莊大道，偏離了正途也不自知。孩子們啊，要聽從我，不可違背我的話！要遠遠避開淫婦，不可靠近她的家門，免得你為別人枉費精力，為殘忍之徒斷送青春；免得外人吞盡你的財富，你的辛勞所得歸給他人。臨終之時，肉體衰殘，你必呻吟不止，
