If she has made herself impure and been unfaithful to her husband, this will be the result: When she is made to drink the water that brings a curse and causes bitter suffering, it will enter her, her abdomen will swell and her womb will miscarry, and she will become a curse.

And when he has made her drink the water, then, if she has defiled herself and has broken faith with her husband, the water that brings the curse shall enter into her and cause bitter pain, and her womb shall swell, and her thigh shall fall away, and the woman shall become a curse among her people.

If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left,but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God.Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace?For we know him who said,“ It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” and again,“ The Lord will judge his people.” (niv)

What benefit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of? Those things result in death! (niv)

To the one we are an aroma that brings death; to the other, an aroma that brings life. And who is equal to such a task? (niv)

This is especially true of those who follow the corrupt desire of the flesh and despise authority. Bold and arrogant, they are not afraid to heap abuse on celestial beings; (niv)

but in the end she is bitter as gall, sharp as a double-edged sword.Her feet go down to death; her steps lead straight to the grave.She gives no thought to the way of life; her paths wander aimlessly, but she does not know it.Now then, my sons, listen to me; do not turn aside from what I say.Keep to a path far from her, do not go near the door of her house,lest you lose your honor to others and your dignity to one who is cruel,lest strangers feast on your wealth and your toil enrich the house of another.At the end of your life you will groan, when your flesh and body are spent.
