「在他一切許願離俗的日子，不可用剃刀剃頭。在離俗歸耶和華的日子未滿之前，他要成為聖，要任由頭上的髮綹生長。

拿細耳人要在會幕門口剃離俗的頭，把離俗頭上的髮放在平安祭下的火上。他剃了離俗的頭以後，祭司要取那煮好的公綿羊的一條前腿，連同籃子裏的一塊無酵餅和一塊無酵薄餅，放在他手掌上。
