既自許願區別、薙髮之刀、勿加於首、迨區別歸於耶和華之日既盈、彼必為聖、當留其髮、

暨發願而離世故、彼必成聖、當留其髮、薙髮之刀勿加於首、迨奉我之日既盈、薙之可也。

彼許願離俗事主之日內、必以為聖、毋以薙髮之刀加諸首、當留其髮、直待離俗之日滿盈、

“‘ During the entire period of their Nazirite vow, no razor may be used on their head. They must be holy until the period of their dedication to the Lord is over; they must let their hair grow long.

“‘ They must not use razors on their heads. They must not cut their hair during the whole time they have set themselves apart to the Lord. They must be holy until that time is over. They must let the hair on their heads grow long.

“ All the days of his vow of separation, no razor shall touch his head. Until the time is completed for which he separates himself to the Lord, he shall be holy. He shall let the locks of hair of his head grow long.

“ They must never cut their hair throughout the time of their vow, for they are holy and set apart to the Lord. Until the time of their vow has been fulfilled, they must let their hair grow long.

“ You must not cut his hair throughout the time of his vow of consecration. He may be holy until the time is completed during which he consecrates himself to the LORD; he is to let the hair of his head grow long.

‘ All the days of his vow of consecration no razor shall pass over his head. He shall be holy until the days are fulfilled which he lives as a Nazirite for the Lord; he shall let the locks of hair on his head grow long.

‘ All the days of the vow of his separation no razor shall come upon his head; until the days are fulfilled for which he separated himself to the Lord, he shall be holy. Then he shall let the locks of the hair of his head grow.

All the days of his vow of separation there shall no razor come upon his head: until the days be fulfilled, in which he separateth himself unto Jehovah, he shall be holy; he shall let the locks of the hair of his head grow long.

並且許願，說：“萬軍之耶和華啊，你若是看顧使女的困苦，記念我，不忘記你的使女，賜給使女一個兒子，我就必把他一生獻給耶和華，不剃他的頭。”

看哪！你必懷孕，生一個兒子；不可用剃刀剃他的頭，這孩子從在母腹開始就歸神作拿細耳人；他必拯救以色列人脫離非利士人的手。”

參孫就把他心中的一切告訴了她，對她說：“向來沒有人用剃刀剃過我的頭，因為我自出母胎就歸神作拿細耳人，如果人剃去我的頭髮，我的力氣就離開了我，我就軟弱無力，像所有人一樣。”

大利拉使參孫睡在自己的膝上，又叫了一個人來，把參孫頭上的七條髮辮都剃去；大利拉就克制了他，因他的力氣離開了他。

因此，為天使的緣故，女人應當在頭上有服權柄的記號。然而在主裡面，女人不可以沒有男人，男人也不可以沒有女人。因為正如女人是由男人而出，照樣，男人是藉著女人而生；萬有都是出於神。你們自己判斷一下，女人向神禱告的時候不蒙頭，是合適的嗎？人的本性不是也教導你們，如果男人有長頭髮，就是他的羞恥嗎？如果女人有長頭髮，不就是她的榮耀嗎？因為頭髮是給她作蓋頭的。

錫安的貴族素來比雪更明亮，比奶更潔白；他們的身體比紅寶石更紅潤，他們的樣貌像藍寶石一樣美麗。現在他們的面貌比煤炭還黑，在街上再沒有人認得他們；他們皮包骨頭，枯瘦如柴。
