Every firstborn male in Israel, whether human or animal, is mine. When I struck down all the firstborn in Egypt, I set them apart for myself.

Every male born first in Israel belongs to me. That is true whether it is a human or an animal. In Egypt I struck down all the males born first to their mothers. Then I set apart for myself all the males born first in Israel.

For all the firstborn among the people of Israel are mine, both of man and of beast. On the day that I struck down all the firstborn in the land of Egypt I consecrated them for myself,

那時候、你要使一切頭胎的人和你所有一切頭胎的小牲口、都走過來、歸於永恆主：陽性的都要屬於永恆主。凡頭胎的驢、你要用小羊去替贖；若不替贖，就要打折牠的脖子。凡你兒子當中頭胎的，你都要贖出來。日後你的兒子若問你說：「這是甚麼意思？」，你要對他說：「是永恆主用他手的權能將我們從埃及、從為奴之家領出來。那時法老硬不要讓我們走，永恆主就把埃及地所有頭胎的，無論是頭胎的人、或是頭胎的牲口、都殺了，因此我把一切頭胎的公牲畜祭獻給永恆主，而將我一切頭胎的兒子都贖出來。

那麼父所分別為聖而差遣到世界上來的、因他說、「我是上帝的兒子」、你們就說、他說了僭妄的話麼？

並且我也將我的安息日賜給他們，做個我與他們之間的憑證，好使他們知道是我永恆主使他們成聖別的。

他將埃及的首生者、連人帶牲口、都擊殺掉。

因着信、他立了逾越節，行灑血禮，免得那毁滅者觸害着他們的首生者。

到了半夜，永恆主擊殺了埃及地一切頭胎生的；從坐王位的法老的長子、到在地牢裏的俘虜的長子，以及所有頭胎的牲口，都擊殺了。

我要把會棚和祭壇分別為聖，也要把亞倫和他的兒子們分別為聖、作祭司來事奉我。

『惟獨牲口中頭胎的、無論是牛是羊、既作為歸永恆主的頭胎者，人就不必再把牠分別為聖，因為這本是永恆主的。

因為一切頭胎的都是我的：我在埃及地擊殺一切頭胎的那一天，就把以色列中一切頭胎的、無論是人是牲口、都分別為聖而歸我：他們是屬我的：我永恆主。』

他照他的意思、用真理之道生了我們，要使我們做他所創造的萬物中一種初熟的果子。

我為了他們的緣故把自己分別為聖，使他們也因真理而分別為聖。

他擊殺了他們國內所有的長子，他們強壯時的初生子。

他在埃及地擊殺了一切長子，在含的帳棚中擊殺了他們強壯時的初生子。

『人若將房屋分別為聖、做歸與永恆主為聖，祭司就要估定它的價值、多好多壞；祭司怎樣估定，就怎樣立定。將房屋分別為聖的人若要贖回，就要在你估定的價銀以外、加上五分之一，房屋就可以歸他。

那麼，踐踏上帝兒子的人，將自己所賴以成聖的約的血當做俗污，又褻慢施恩的靈，你們想想，他豈不更嚴重地被判為該受刑麼？
