有數人因近屍蒙不潔、不能於是日守逾越節、故當日至摩西亞倫前曰、

But some of them could not celebrate the Passover on that day because they were ceremonially unclean on account of a dead body. So they came to Moses and Aaron that same day

But some of them couldn’t celebrate the Passover Feast on that day. That’s because they weren’t“ clean.” They had gone near a dead body. So they came to Moses and Aaron that same day.

And there were certain men who were unclean through touching a dead body, so that they could not keep the Passover on that day, and they came before Moses and Aaron on that day.

站在會幕門口，在摩西和以利亞撒祭司、眾領袖和全體會眾面前，說：

摩西回答他岳父：“因為人民到我這裡來求問神。

在田間摸了被刀殺死的，或是自己死的屍體，或是人的骨頭，或是墳墓，就必不潔淨七天。

“摸了任何人類屍體的，必不潔淨七天。

“你要吩咐以色列人，把所有患痲風病的，患漏症的，以及因接觸死人而不潔的，都送出營外；

現在你要聽我的話，我要給你出個主意，願神與你同在；你要代替人民到神面前，把他們的事件帶到神那裡。

要由一個潔淨的人，拿牛膝草蘸在這水裡，把水灑在會幕上和一切器皿，以及在那裡的眾人身上，又灑在摸了骨頭，或是摸了被殺死的，或是摸了自己死去的，或是摸了墳墓的人身上。

清早的時候，猶太人把耶穌從該亞法那裡押往總督的官邸。他們自己沒有進到官邸裡去，恐怕沾染了污穢，不能吃逾越節的晚餐。

他們隨時審判人民的案件；有困難的事件，他們就帶到摩西那裡；所有小事件，由他們自己審判。

這以色列婦人的兒子褻瀆耶和華的名，咒詛耶和華的名，人就把他帶到摩西那裡。（他母親名叫示羅密，是但支派底伯利的女兒。）

“‘在他離俗歸耶和華的日子，不可走近死人。他的父母、兄弟或是姊妹，死了的時候，他不可因他們玷污自己，因為離俗歸他神的記號，在他的頭上；

不可走近死屍，也不可為了父母玷污自己。

於是摩西就把她們的案件呈到耶和華面前。

遇見他撿柴的人，就把他帶到摩西、亞倫和全體會眾那裡。
