耶和华对以东说：“我要让你成为列国中最弱小的国家，使你饱受藐视。

看哪！我必使你在列国中成为弱小的，你必大受藐视。

我使你－以東在列國中為最小的，被人大大藐視。

看哪，我要使你在列國中為最小，被人大大藐視。

看哪，我要使你在列國中為最小，被人大大藐視。

耶和華對以東說：「我要讓你成為列國中最弱小的國家，使你飽受藐視。

看哪！我必使你在列國中成為弱小的，你必大受藐視。

『看吧，我必使你在列國中成為小的；你必極度被藐視。

耶和華曰、我使爾在列邦中為微小、甚被藐視、

維爾以東、我使之卑微、在列邦中為人所藐視、

主謂以東曰、我使爾在列邦中為至微、令爾極被藐視、

“ See, I will make you small among the nations; you will be utterly despised.

The Lord says to Edom,“ I will make you weak among the nations. They will look down on you.

Behold, I will make you small among the nations; you shall be utterly despised.

The Lord says to Edom,“ I will cut you down to size among the nations; you will be greatly despised.

Look, I will make you insignificant among the nations; you will be deeply despised.

“ Behold, I will make you small among the nations; You are greatly despised.

“ Behold, I will make you small among the nations; You shall be greatly despised.

Behold, I have made thee small among the nations: thou art greatly despised.

Look, I will make you insignificant among the nations; you will be deeply despised.

Behold, I have made thee small among the heathen: thou art greatly despised.

The LORD says,“ Look! I will make you a weak nation; you will be greatly despised!

Behold, I have made you small among the nations. You are greatly despised.

Edom will be conquered; Seir, his enemy, will be conquered, but Israel will grow strong. (niv)

The Lord Almighty planned it, to bring down her pride in all her splendor and to humble all who are renowned on the earth. (niv)

Then my enemy will see it and will be covered with shame, she who said to me,“ Where is the Lord your God?” My eyes will see her downfall; even now she will be trampled underfoot like mire in the streets. (niv)

The Lord sends poverty and wealth; he humbles and he exalts.He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap; he seats them with princes and has them inherit a throne of honor.“ For the foundations of the earth are the Lord’s; on them he has set the world. (niv)

It will be the lowliest of kingdoms and will never again exalt itself above the other nations. I will make it so weak that it will never again rule over the nations. (niv)

Then their numbers decreased, and they were humbled by oppression, calamity and sorrow;he who pours contempt on nobles made them wander in a trackless waste. (niv)

He has performed mighty deeds with his arm; he has scattered those who are proud in their inmost thoughts.He has brought down rulers from their thrones but has lifted up the humble. (niv)

Because he takes note of their deeds, he overthrows them in the night and they are crushed.He punishes them for their wickedness where everyone can see them,because they turned from following him and had no regard for any of his ways.They caused the cry of the poor to come before him, so that he heard the cry of the needy.But if he remains silent, who can condemn him? If he hides his face, who can see him? Yet he is over individual and nation alike, (niv)
