若主人是基督徒，作奴僕的不可因為同是信徒就不尊敬自己的主人，反而要更好地服侍他，因為這些接受服侍的人是信徒，是主所愛的。你要教導這些事並勉勵眾人。

你們作奴僕的，凡事要聽從你們世上的主人，不要只做討好人的表面工夫，要以敬畏主的心真誠服侍。

亞拿尼亞去了，進了那家，就把手按在掃羅身上，說：「掃羅弟兄，在你來的路上向你顯現的主耶穌派我來使你重見光明、被聖靈充滿。」

因為，如果你蒙召信主時是奴隸，現在則是主的自由人；如果你蒙召時是自由人，現在則是基督的奴僕。

你們既因順服真理，潔淨了自己的心，能夠真誠地愛弟兄姊妹，就當以清潔的心彼此切實相愛。你們獲得重生，不是藉著會腐爛的種子，而是藉著不會腐爛的種子——上帝活潑永存的道。

你們作奴僕的，要戰戰兢兢、誠誠實實、懷著敬畏的心服從你們肉身的主人，就像服從基督一樣。不要只做一些討好人的表面工夫，要像基督的奴僕一樣從心裡遵行上帝的旨意。要甘心樂意地工作，像是在事奉主，不是在服侍人。

因此，同蒙天召的聖潔的弟兄姊妹，你們應當仔細思想那位我們公認為特使和大祭司的耶穌。

弟兄姊妹，你們都像以撒一樣是照著上帝的應許出生的。當時，那按著人的意願生的兒子迫害那靠著聖靈生的兒子，現在的情況也和當時一樣。
