They must also be tested first; if they prove blameless, then they can serve as deacons.Wives, likewise, should be worthy of respect, not slanderers, self-controlled, faithful in everything.Deacons are to be husbands of one wife, managing their children and their own households competently.For those who have served well as deacons acquire a good standing for themselves and great boldness in the faith that is in Christ Jesus.

If anyone serves me, he must follow me. Where I am, there my servant also will be. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him.

on that day when he comes to be glorified by his saints and to be marveled at by all those who have believed, because our testimony among you was believed.

This is why, since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints,

“ For it is written in the Book of Psalms: Let his dwelling become desolate; let no one live in it; and Let someone else take his position.

But he said to me,“ Don’t do that! I am a fellow servant with you, your brothers the prophets, and those who keep the words of this book. Worship God!”

Then I fell at his feet to worship him, but he said to me,“ Don’t do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers and sisters who hold firmly to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God, because the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”
