这一等是出于爱心，知道我是为辩明福音设立的；

后者是出于爱心，知道我奉差遣是为福音辩护的。

这些人是出于爱心，知道我是派来为福音辩护的。

后者是出于爱，知道我是为辩护福音而受委派的；

彼傳基督道、為朋黨、非誠心、欲苦我於縲絏中、

彼傳基督為分爭、非由誠心、欲增我縲絏之苦、

此以仁愛為懷、知予之護道、有所受命也；

The latter do so out of love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel.

The last group acts out of love. They know I have been put here to be a witness for the good news.

They preach because they love me, for they know I have been appointed to defend the Good News.

The former preach Christ from selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my chains;

the one do it of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel;

These do so out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the gospel;

The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds:

The latter do so from love because they know that I am placed here for the defense of the gospel.

The former insincerely preach Christ from selfish ambition, thinking that they add affliction to my chains;

Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that what has happened to me has actually served to advance the gospel. (niv)

so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, (niv)

For they persecute those you wound and talk about the pain of those you hurt. (niv)

Therefore, since through God’s mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart.Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. Unlike so many, we do not peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, as those sent from God. (niv)
