We always thank God for all of you, making mention of you constantly in our prayers.

God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in telling the good news about his Son— that I constantly mention you,

For I have great joy and encouragement from your love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through you, brother.

The Holy Spirit is the down payment of our inheritance, until the redemption of the possession, to the praise of his glory.This is why, since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints,I never stop giving thanks for you as I remember you in my prayers.I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, would give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him.I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened so that you may know what is the hope of his calling, what is the wealth of his glorious inheritance in the saints,and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the mighty working of his strength.He exercised this power in Christ by raising him from the dead and seating him at his right hand in the heavens—far above every ruler and authority, power and dominion, and every title given, not only in this age but also in the one to come.And he subjected everything under his feet and appointed him as head over everything for the church,which is his body, the fullness of the one who fills all things in every way.

For who is our hope or joy or crown of boasting in the presence of our Lord Jesus at his coming? Is it not you?Indeed you are our glory and joy!

So then, my dearly loved and longed for brothers and sisters, my joy and crown, in this manner stand firm in the Lord, dear friends.

And I pray this: that your love will keep on growing in knowledge and every kind of discernment,so that you may approve the things that are superior and may be pure and blameless in the day of Christ,filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ to the glory and praise of God.

For I may be absent in body, but I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see how well ordered you are and the strength of your faith in Christ.

For I have often told you, and now say again with tears, that many live as enemies of the cross of Christ.

make my joy complete by thinking the same way, having the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose.

I tell you, in the same way, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous people who don’t need repentance.

I tell you, in the same way, there is joy in the presence of God’s angels over one sinner who repents.”
