Cheerfully share your home with those who need a meal or a place to stay.

And don’t grumble as some of them did, and then were destroyed by the angel of death.

Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves.

In the morning you will see the glory of the Lord, because he has heard your complaints, which are against him, not against us. What have we done that you should complain about us?”Then Moses added,“ The Lord will give you meat to eat in the evening and bread to satisfy you in the morning, for he has heard all your complaints against him. What have we done? Yes, your complaints are against the Lord, not against us.”

Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior.Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.

Instead, they grumbled in their tents and refused to obey the Lord.

Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone.

Paul and Barnabas disagreed with them, arguing vehemently. Finally, the church decided to send Paul and Barnabas to Jerusalem, accompanied by some local believers, to talk to the apostles and elders about this question.

But as the believers rapidly multiplied, there were rumblings of discontent. The Greek speaking believers complained about the Hebrew speaking believers, saying that their widows were being discriminated against in the daily distribution of food.

A bowl of vegetables with someone you love is better than steak with someone you hate.A hot tempered person starts fights; a cool tempered person stops them.

Let us not become conceited, or provoke one another, or be jealous of one another.

Accept other believers who are weak in faith, and don’t argue with them about what they think is right or wrong.

Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires.

But if you are always biting and devouring one another, watch out! Beware of destroying one another.

Don’t grumble about each other, brothers and sisters, or you will be judged. For look— the Judge is standing at the door!

But if you are bitterly jealous and there is selfish ambition in your heart, don’t cover up the truth with boasting and lying.For jealousy and selfishness are not God’s kind of wisdom. Such things are earthly, unspiritual, and demonic.For wherever there is jealousy and selfish ambition, there you will find disorder and evil of every kind.But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and the fruit of good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere.And those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness.What is causing the quarrels and fights among you? Don’t they come from the evil desires at war within you?

Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it.

Their disagreement was so sharp that they separated. Barnabas took John Mark with him and sailed for Cyprus.

At the meeting, after a long discussion, Peter stood and addressed them as follows:“ Brothers, you all know that God chose me from among you some time ago to preach to the Gentiles so that they could hear the Good News and believe.

Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord.

These people are grumblers and complainers, living only to satisfy their desires. They brag loudly about themselves, and they flatter others to get what they want.

for you are still controlled by your sinful nature. You are jealous of one another and quarrel with each other. Doesn’t that prove you are controlled by your sinful nature? Aren’t you living like people of the world?When one of you says,“ I am a follower of Paul,” and another says,“ I follow Apollos,” aren’t you acting just like people of the world?After all, who is Apollos? Who is Paul? We are only God’s servants through whom you believed the Good News. Each of us did the work the Lord gave us.

See that no one pays back evil for evil, but always try to do good to each other and to all people.

I appeal to you, dear brothers and sisters, by the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ, to live in harmony with each other. Let there be no divisions in the church. Rather, be of one mind, united in thought and purpose.For some members of Chloe’s household have told me about your quarrels, my dear brothers and sisters.Some of you are saying,“ I am a follower of Paul.” Others are saying,“ I follow Apollos,” or“ I follow Peter,” or“ I follow only Christ.”

When they received their pay, they protested to the owner,

For I am afraid that when I come I won’t like what I find, and you won’t like my response. I am afraid that I will find quarreling, jealousy, anger, selfishness, slander, gossip, arrogance, and disorderly behavior.

After they arrived at Capernaum and settled in a house, Jesus asked his disciples,“ What were you discussing out on the road?”But they didn’t answer, because they had been arguing about which of them was the greatest.

Pride leads to conflict; those who take advice are wise.

“ How long must I put up with this wicked community and its complaints about me? Yes, I have heard the complaints the Israelites are making against me.

“ It could have been sold for a year’s wages and the money given to the poor!” So they scolded her harshly.

Show them great respect and wholehearted love because of their work. And live peacefully with each other.

Some people may contradict our teaching, but these are the wholesome teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ. These teachings promote a godly life.Anyone who teaches something different is arrogant and lacks understanding. Such a person has an unhealthy desire to quibble over the meaning of words. This stirs up arguments ending in jealousy, division, slander, and evil suspicions.These people always cause trouble. Their minds are corrupt, and they have turned their backs on the truth. To them, a show of godliness is just a way to become wealthy.

And now I make one more appeal, my dear brothers and sisters. Watch out for people who cause divisions and upset people’s faith by teaching things contrary to what you have been taught. Stay away from them.
