This letter is from Paul, a prisoner for preaching the Good News about Christ Jesus, and from our brother Timothy. I am writing to Philemon, our beloved co worker,and to our sister Apphia, and to our fellow soldier Archippus, and to the church that meets in your house.

And I ask you, my true partner, to help these two women, for they worked hard with me in telling others the Good News. They worked along with Clement and the rest of my co workers, whose names are written in the Book of Life.

Jesus( the one we call Justus) also sends his greetings. These are the only Jewish believers among my co workers; they are working with me here for the Kingdom of God. And what a comfort they have been!

And so, dear brothers and sisters who belong to God and are partners with those called to heaven, think carefully about this Jesus whom we declare to be God’s messenger and High Priest.

Trustworthy messengers refresh like snow in summer. They revive the spirit of their employer.

You learned about the Good News from Epaphras, our beloved co worker. He is Christ’s faithful servant, and he is helping us on your behalf.

For we are both God’s workers. And you are God’s field. You are God’s building.

Endure suffering along with me, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.Soldiers don’t get tied up in the affairs of civilian life, for then they cannot please the officer who enlisted them.

Just as you sent me into the world, I am sending them into the world.

and we sent Timothy to visit you. He is our brother and God’s co worker in proclaiming the Good News of Christ. We sent him to strengthen you, to encourage you in your faith,

But I had no peace of mind because my dear brother Titus hadn’t yet arrived with a report from you. So I said good bye and went on to Macedonia to find him.

Was I wrong when I humbled myself and honored you by preaching God’s Good News to you without expecting anything in return?I“ robbed” other churches by accepting their contributions so I could serve you at no cost.And when I was with you and didn’t have enough to live on, I did not become a financial burden to anyone. For the brothers who came from Macedonia brought me all that I needed. I have never been a burden to you, and I never will be.

We are also sending with them another of our brothers who has proven himself many times and has shown on many occasions how eager he is. He is now even more enthusiastic because of his great confidence in you.If anyone asks about Titus, say that he is my partner who works with me to help you. And the brothers with him have been sent by the churches, and they bring honor to Christ.
