who though he existed in the form of God did not regard equality with God as something to be grasped,

他本有上帝的形像，卻不堅持自己與上帝同等；

他本有神的形像，卻不堅持自己與神同等；

祂雖然本質上是上帝，卻沒有緊緊抓住自己與上帝平等的地位不放，

他形質上本是屬神的，卻不以自己與上帝平等為應當把持不捨的，

雖然他就是神本體的存在，卻不把與神同等看做是一件要強抓不放的事，

彼原有上帝之狀、不以匹上帝自居、

彼具體上帝、即匹上帝、不為僭、

彼具天主之體、即配天主不以為僭、

夫彼神也、與天主等齊而不居焉、

Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;

In his very nature he was God. Jesus was equal with God. But Jesus didn’t take advantage of that fact.

who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped,

Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to.

who, existing in the form of God, did not consider equality with God as something to be exploited.

who, as He already existed in the form of God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,

who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God,

who, existing in the form of God, counted not the being on an equality with God a thing to be grasped,

who, existing in the form of God, did not consider equality with God as something to be used for His own advantage.

Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

For this reason the Jewish leaders were trying even harder to kill him, because not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was also calling God his own Father, thus making himself equal with God.

among whom the god of this age has blinded the minds of those who do not believe so they would not see the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God.

The Son is the radiance of his glory and the representation of his essence, and he sustains all things by his powerful word, and so when he had accomplished cleansing for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.

And now, Father, glorify me at your side with the glory I had with you before the world was created.

He also said to me,“ It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the one who is thirsty I will give water free of charge from the spring of the water of life.

The Father and I are one.”

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation,for all things in heaven and on earth were created by him– all things, whether visible or invisible, whether thrones or dominions, whether principalities or powers– all things were created through him and for him.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever!

The Jewish leaders replied,“ We are not going to stone you for a good deed but for blasphemy, because you, a man, are claiming to be God.”

For a child has been born to us, a son has been given to us. He shoulders responsibility and is called: Extraordinary Strategist, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Jesus said to them,“ I tell you the solemn truth, before Abraham came into existence, I am!”Then they picked up stones to throw at him, but Jesus hid himself and went out from the temple area.

To them belong the patriarchs, and from them, by human descent, came the Christ, who is God over all, blessed forever! Amen.

Now I have arrived!” Joshua bowed down with his face to the ground and asked,“ What does my master want to say to his servant?”The commander of the LORD’s army answered Joshua,“ Remove your sandals from your feet, because the place where you stand is holy.” Joshua did so.

Thomas replied to him,“ My Lord and my God!”

But when he again brings his firstborn into the world, he says,“ Let all the angels of God worship him!”

For this reason the sovereign master himself will give you a confirming sign. Look, this young woman is about to conceive and will give birth to a son. You, young woman, will name him Immanuel.

as we wait for the happy fulfillment of our hope in the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.

And we all agree, our religion contains amazing revelation: He was revealed in the flesh, vindicated by the Spirit, seen by angels, proclaimed among Gentiles, believed on in the world, taken up in glory.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was fully God.The Word was with God in the beginning.

“ Look! The virgin will conceive and bear a son, and they will call him Emmanuel,” which means“ God with us.”

In the womb he attacked his brother; in his manly vigor he struggled with God.He struggled with an angel and prevailed; he wept and begged for his favor. He found God at Bethel, and there he spoke with him!As for the LORD God Almighty, the LORD is the name by which he is remembered!

but of the Son he says,“ Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, and a righteous scepter is the scepter of your kingdom.

As I watched, I noticed a form that appeared to be a man. From his waist downward was something like fire, and from his waist upward something like a brightness, like an amber glow.He stretched out the form of a hand and grabbed me by a lock of hair on my head. Then a wind lifted me up between the earth and sky and brought me to Jerusalem by means of divine visions, to the door of the inner gate which faces north where the statue which provokes to jealousy was located.Then I perceived that the glory of the God of Israel was there, as in the vision I had seen earlier in the valley.He said to me,“ Son of man, look up toward the north.” So I looked up toward the north, and I noticed to the north of the altar gate was this statue of jealousy at the entrance.He said to me,“ Son of man, do you see what they are doing– the great abominations that the people of Israel are practicing here, to drive me far from my sanctuary? But you will see greater abominations than these!”

so that all people will honor the Son just as they honor the Father. The one who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him.

No one has ever seen God. The only one, himself God, who is in closest fellowship with the Father, has made God known.

Under his rule Judah will enjoy safety and Israel will live in security. This is the name he will go by:‘ The LORD has provided us with justice.’

It will spill into Judah, flooding and engulfing, as it reaches to the necks of its victims. He will spread his wings out over your entire land, O Immanuel.”

Jesus replied,“ Have I been with you for so long, and you have not known me, Philip? The person who has seen me has seen the Father! How can you say,‘ Show us the Father’?

“ Awake, sword, against my shepherd, against the man who is my associate,” says the LORD who rules over all. Strike the shepherd that the flock may be scattered; I will turn my hand against the insignificant ones.

Then he blessed Joseph and said,“ May the God before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac walked– the God who has been my shepherd all my life long to this day,the Angel who has protected me from all harm– bless these boys. May my name be named in them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac. May they grow into a multitude on the earth.”

You heard me say to you,‘ I am going away and I am coming back to you.’ If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, because the Father is greater than I am.

Now to the eternal king, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever! Amen.

So Jacob was left alone. Then a man wrestled with him until daybreak.When the man saw that he could not defeat Jacob, he struck the socket of his hip so the socket of Jacob’s hip was dislocated while he wrestled with him.Then the man said,“ Let me go, for the dawn is breaking.”“ I will not let you go,” Jacob replied,“ unless you bless me.”The man asked him,“ What is your name?” He answered,“ Jacob.”“ No longer will your name be Jacob,” the man told him,“ but Israel, because you have fought with God and with men and have prevailed.”Then Jacob asked,“ Please tell me your name.”“ Why do you ask my name?” the man replied. Then he blessed Jacob there.So Jacob named the place Peniel, explaining,“ Certainly I have seen God face to face and have survived.”
